Favre says he hasn't seen Harvin since Arizona

Vikings receiver Percy Harvin, who missed practice all week due to migraines, finally missed a game because of his condition.

And while it’s unknown when Harvin will be able to return, CBS analyst Dan Dierdorf mentioned late in Sunday’s Bengals-Vikings game that Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre hasn’t seen Harvin since they played in Arizona one week ago.

The Vikings listed Harvin as quetionable on Friday, after he missed practice all week.  But if he likewise didn’t make an appearance at the team’s facility at any point between Monday and Saturday, wouldn’t the more accurate description have been “doubtful”?

It’s doubtful that anything will ever come of it, but we get the feeling based on Favre’s admission that Harvin’s chances of playing were a lot lower than 50-50.

Not necessarily dumbass, think of the nature of the injury. It isn’t a matter of healing, migranes clear up or they don’t —- nobody seems to have a schedule for this. Good job trying to make a story out of nothing.
Except, Bob Nelson will get to trot out his usual drug testing conspiracy theories.
    Take it a way, Boob!

He will be back next week. You don’t hold down the ROY that easy.

Dominating victory without a big weapon such as Harvin. Saints squeek out a victory against a second string QB in Atlanta. Vikings are the NFC team,Arizona was just a screw up. Nice to have Twon, dude lays the wood.

    Percy will be fine.
I want to know where all the haters are???
We just blew away one of the AFC’s best. Made em look like the Lions.
    Now what?
    ALL WE DO IS WIN
    ALL WE DO IS WIN
    ARIZONA WAS ABARATION
    11-2
    DOMINATING VICTORY.
SHUT YOUR MOUTHS ESPN, HATERS, FAKERS, and the like.
THE VIKINGS ARE ELITE and ARIZONA WILL BE WELCOMED INTO OUR HOUSE and we’ll beat that ass!
    SKOL!

Florio, give it up with the injury report questions. No one cares.

  6. rcpecook says: Dec 13, 2009 4:20 PM

  7. Twiz says: Dec 13, 2009 4:21 PM

To all those that have constantly said that the Vikings have not beat a playoff team, here is a big FU!! Looks like the Fudgepackers might make the playoffs thanks to the Giants midseason collapse. If so, they better hope they stay on the NO side of things. That is the ONLY way they stand a chance!!!!!
As for Harvin, just think of what the score might have been had he played today!
Get well soon Percy! We are gonna need you come January!!!

  8. LiveNBreatheFootball says: Dec 13, 2009 4:22 PM

Would someone on the Vikings please tell Favre to shut up about injuries. Even if asked he can just say “Not my department.” Everytime he doesn’t blow off the question he causes trouble.

  9. ItalianStallion says: Dec 13, 2009 4:22 PM

Why? If Percy’s migraines were gone on Sunday, he probably would have played anyway.

  12. gally says: Dec 13, 2009 4:26 PM

Wow, easy on the Haterade. If you dislike Florio so much, why bother coming here to read? A player not showing up all week is beyond questionable. If a guy blows an ACL he’s still at the facility for rehab. The team still sees the guy. Not seeing the guy means he’s likely not going to play, and therefore the injury rating system of the NFL seems a little bit off. That, I believe, is the point Florio was trying to make.

  13. PerryMason says: Dec 13, 2009 4:28 PM

The Vikings won anyway without him. Of course it was the Bengals. I can’t even imagine how bad a team would have to stink to lose to the Bengals at home.

  14. old bronco fan says: Dec 13, 2009 4:29 PM

Terrel Davis had the same problem with migraines maybe Harvin should call him?

  15. Da Bears says: Dec 13, 2009 4:30 PM

This is clearly the reason that the Vikings won today. Goodell needs to come down on them hard. The kind of advantage that this provided to the Vikings was just insurmountable. Shoot, might as well hand them the Lombardi now, if they’re going to be able to get away with listing a “Doubtful” player as “Questionable”.
    Now THAT’S good sarcasm!

  16. ookie says: Dec 13, 2009 4:31 PM

If someone missed all week and wasn’t there for any of the game planning, they aint playing DCViking.

  17. footballrulz says: Dec 13, 2009 4:33 PM

    @DCViking
    LMAO. I’m sure you’re right.
Man that dude must have some serious migraines. I can’t believe they actually made him miss a game and a week of practice. He’s a fun player to watch and I seriously hope somehow, he can get it corrected.
Good game today without him though.
This could be one of the most interesting playoff’s in years.

    I enjoyed watched Gruiffin re-arrange OchoDinko’s face.
He didn’t have anything to celebrate today. LOL
I notice every playoff caliber team the Packers have played since we last played them has half their starters out on a stretcher. I’m NOT impressed.

LOL!! If your first statement were correct (all caps and repeated for emphasis) then the 2nd one wouldn’t be true. And try firing up your spellchecker.
So you’re in AZ? You must have been one of those JAMFs in purple I saw at the game last weekend. You weren’t talking too much smack then, and won’t be in January either. BIRDS RULE!!!!

  22. jonnyfootballhero says: Dec 13, 2009 5:34 PM

I can’t get over the anger some of you people have…it’s ridiculous. Congratulations, your team won! Smack talk is so stupid!! Regardless of what your team is, people brag like their team is the best ever and rub it in when the other team loses, but bitch and moan and make excuses when their team loses. Isn’t it dumb?? Whatever happened to being a good loser and a gracious winner??? Grow up people…I’m happy, my team won today, but the other team put up a great fight! Name calling and personal attacks have no place in football….get over it!!

When I looked at the schedule this year, the one game I said, if we lose it I’ll be okay with it is this game against the Vikings. The Bengals are my team, but if they don’t win it all this year then I want it to be Minnesota.
I love Brett Farve and it would be great to see him bring a championship to Minnesota.
I have to admit this loss is exactly what I expected. The truth is our Offense absolutely stinks and will not stand up to the playoff caliber teams when it comes crunch time.
We are a classic one and done waiting to hatch.

Lets see making love to your sister packer fans,
The refs made it happen, they got lucky, the good guys werent in for the Bengals, Bengals arent a good team, look at the schedule, they havent beat anyone good………………………………..
Vikes wasted a Playoff team today, and you fudgies are jealous!!

–Viqueer– Nice name you make up even though you seem to forget that you are the “Packers” You have to make our team sound bad but you guys just come right out and say what you are. It was a good game by the Vikes but I think we still have a ways to go in all around performance before people buy there tickets to the SB. The Saints do not look all that impressive to me as they hardly can beat these below average teams. The Pack is playing better but they are also playing there easy half of the schedule . If the Pack has to come to the dome for the playoffs that place will explode (then maybe they will build a new stadium). Good luck to the rest of your guys teams as the playoffs might have a bunch of exciting games. The people that post on this site must have the average age of 12 by reading the posts that are left.

If your team makes it that far, they can try to prove they are the class of the NFC on Sunday, January 24, 2010. By the way, the game will be played in New Orleans.
    Vikings 11-2
    Saints 13-0
A “W” is a “W” and a loss is something the Saints don’t have on their record.

A win’s a win, second string QB or not. I wouldn’t be knocking the Saints, they are undefeated for a reason. You are what your record says you are.
Congrats to the Vikings on yet another strong showing however. I said two days ago that If Winfield played they would win, but even I didn’t have it as the blowout it ended up being.
That should (unfortunately) put to rest any talk of the Vikings not being able to take on playoff teams. It should also confirm my statement that the days of AFC dominance are over.

Percentage chance of playing is COMPLETELY subjective; as such, teams will manipulate the process to the fullest extent possible. GET OVER IT.
