Vince Young out, Kerry Collins in for Titans

Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young left today’s game against the St. Louis Rams with an apparent hamstring injury and was replaced by backup Kerry Collins.

Young suffered the injury on the longest run of his NFL career: Young broke loose through the Rams’ defense and galloped 44 yards, but at the end of the play he pulled up lame, ran out of bounds and appeared to be grabbing his right hamstring. Young went to the locker room and Collins took the field.

At the time he left the game, Young had gone 6-of-8 for 132 yards, with half of that yardage coming on a short pass that Chris Johnson turned into a 66-yard touchdown. Collins has gone 3-of-6 for 41 yards.

With Johnson’s 139 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns leading the way, the Titans are whipping the Rams 20-0.
