Calf injury still limiting Devin Hester

Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester missed a game for just the second time in his career on Sunday when he sat out the loss to the Green Bay Packers with a calf injury. When the Bears return to the practice field on Wednesday, Hester isn’t expected to be out there.

Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reports that Hester, who didn’t practice at all last week, is expected to be sidelined when the Bears return to the practice field this week as well. It’s not clear yet whether Hester will be on the field for the Bears’ next game, against the Baltimore Ravens.

With Hester out, Jay Cutler’s top receivers on Sunday against the Packers were Devin Aromashodu and Johnny Knox. Cutler completed 13 of the 19 passes he threw to them, for 159 yards and two touchdowns.

McClure also reports that Bears left tackle Orlando Pace is expected to be a full participant in this week’s practice after missing Sunday’s game.
