Miami’s defense took over during Sunday’s 14-10 win in Jacksonville, keeping Miami’s playoff hopes very much alive.
FB Lousaka Polite was a key part of Miami’s dominance in short-yardage situations.
It’s an indictment of the Jaguars that many Dolphins bemoaned how sloppy they played in victory.
With 108 yards against Jacksonville, Ricky Williams is nearing the 1,000 yard mark for the first time since 2003. Unfortunately, he also fumbled three times.
QB Chad Henne was practically flawless, until a poor fourth quarter kept the game up for grabs.
Blame in Jacksonville is centering around QB David Garrard, but he has endured terrible protection all year.
Half of RB Maurice Jones-Drew’s runs were for two yards or less, which didn’t help the team’s miserable performance on third downs.

Ricky has 975 yards rushing not 1,000.
As I Jags fan, of course I’m disappointed that the offense was so inept, but the bright side was the defense. Harvey got another sack (two weeks in a row). Rookies Knighton and Cox look like home runs, and Brackenridge and Alexander played very well. If Henderson and Mathis are back for the Colts game, we might be able to slow them down a little.
