CB Shawn Springs compared WR Wes Welker to his former teammate Sean Taylor after New England’s 20-10 victory over Carolina: “He’s very tough. He’s a great football player. I admire Wes. I’m glad
on a team with a guy like that. Guys like him, he motivates you. He has
that Sean Taylor effect. You play with a guy often, and you just be
like, ‘man, you don’t want to let a guy like that down.’ When I see
Wes, I kind of get that feeling.”
Springs and S James Sanders went from the bench to the starting lineup as New England’s secondary was shaken up.
TE Ben Watson enjoyed a nice day against his hometown team.
LB Adalius Thomas cheered on his teammates from home and is trying to move past last week’s events.
The Patriots are using a rotation at offensive tackle.
Sad stat for Panthers: DT Hollis Thomas has scored more points this season than WRs Muhsin Muhammad and Dwayne Jarrett.
Muhammad on the Patriots: “I have seen better New England teams,”
The Panthers probably don’t look at QB Matt Moore as a long-term option after this two-game stretch.
Carolina’s offense has scored 49 points in the last four weeks.
The Panthers are in disbelief at a season gone dreary. LB Jon Beason said if someone told him they’d be 5-8 after 13 games, “I’d have told them you were a fool. Just like that. No way.”
You forgot the all-important Belichick one-liner in response to Gamble and Harris’ dogging Moss:
“My response would be that’s a lot of conversation coming from a team that just lost another game,” Belichick said.
A few minutes later in his press conference, Belichick added another dig.
“I have a lot of respect for Randy, I think he’s one of our best players and I think if you watch other teams defend him and watch other teams play against him, they think the same way — other than these two guys from Carolina after they lost another game. I guess they don’t think that way. They haven’t won a lot of games now.”
Randy Moss tells Shawn Springs he doesn’t play that touchy feely Wes Welker crap.
Randy Moss tells Shawn Springs he doesn’t play that touchy feely Wes Welker motivates me crap.
Wes Welker shot up somebodies house?
Yeah, a bunch of the Panthers are ripping Moss and the Pats. Who won though ?
I guess that means if the Pats were having a pretty bad day and the Panthers were having a good one as their players certainly seem to think they played well….. that means that the Pats on a bad day are better than the Panthers on a good one.
Have fun watching the playoffs from your couches players and staff of the Carolina Panthers.
So that turd Thomas FINALLY figured out how to keep his fat yap shut, eh?
Too late AD, you punched your own ticket off one of the elite teams in the NFL. Good luck in Cleveland next year.
Hey Muhammed, I have sen better Pats teams to, and they still beat you, so what does that say about you and your team?
Tell you the truth, I have seen better Panther teams. The Patriots did their best to give that game away a couple times. Yep, I have seen better Panther teams, but those were teams where the guys all took steroids, and they still couldn’t beat the patriots.
