Freeney, Mathis among 10 Colts not practicing

Two days before a Thursday night game that coach Jim Caldwell said all healthy players will play in, 10 Indianapolis Colts sat out practice today.

Among the most noteworthy of those 10 are defensive ends Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis, who between them have 21 of the Colts’ 30 sacks this season. Freeney has an abdominal injury and Mathis has a quad injury.

However, the Indianapolis Star notes that it’s common for them to get time off, so their absence from the practice field today doesn’t mean they won’t be on the field against the Jaguars on Thursday.

The Colts listed 29 players on Monday’s injury report, and 19 of them were full participants in today’s practice.

In addition to Freeney and Mathis, the 10 who did not participate in practice today were safety Antoine Bethea (foot), running back Donald Brown (chest), defensive tackle Eric Foster (back), safety Aaron Francisco (ankle), wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez (knee), offensive tackle Charlie Johnson (foot), cornerback Jerraud Powers and kicker Adam Vinatieri (right knee).

They will play, Colts will win and likely will be 18-0 in feb.
Hate to say it because I hate the Colts (Not Manning, met him in real life at a charity event in St. Louis and he is a great person). However I know a resilient(Spelled right?) team when I see one.

OK, so the Colts “would have had” a full pads practice on Monday so all those players wouldn’t participate.
But then they had a walkthrough on Tuesday and all those “injured” players were able to go.
The Injury Report is a joke. Right NewtyNewt?

Good thing for the Colts the Chargers are close to locking up the second seed so they won’t meet them until the Championship game. If the Colts make it that far.

Yeah cuz god knows Chargers = playoff success
They are the biggest chokers in modern playoff football winning 0 championships with perhaps the most talent.

I LOVE HOW ALMOST EVERYONE GIVES THE CHARGERS A FREE PASS FOR BEING CHOKES. THEY HAVE NEVER WON ANYTHING. THEY BEAT THE COLTS A FEW TIMES IN THE PLAYOFFS AND THAT HAS BEEN THERE SUPERBOWL. GOOD LUCK BOLTS FANS. THIS YEAR YOU PLAY AT OUR HOUSE AGAINST A COMPLETE DIFFERENT TEAM THAN THE ON YOU U GOT LUCKY AND BEAT WITH YOUR SPECIAL TEAMS AT YOURS. REALLY TAKE AWAY THAT PUNT INSIDE THE 5 AND YOU LOSE. THIS YEAR YOU LOSE

I really hope the Colts play everyone, not because I care how the Colts do, but because I’m sick of every news outlet in the world speculating what the Colts will do with their personnel the rest of the season.
There was a bit on CNBC yesterday where the were talking about the damn Colts resting starters from here on out. On CNBC. What the hell does this have to do with business and the stock markets?

Don’t worry Charger fans, your team will most likely fall down to the 3rd seed and you’ll end up playing the Colts in the AFC Divisional Round where you will undoubtedly choke.
