That it’s gone this far and the NFLPA is still there speaks volumes. They have a case and you know it, and your excessive bs to the contrary doesn’t change that.

Name me one player who had his back turned on him by the players association. It doesn’t prove anything that (1) the case has been going on for awhile or (2) that the players association backs them. They back their own, even to the detriment of the league, like this case. All it proves is that the PA will fight the league to their last breath and that Pat and Kevin have money to burn. Any rich man would be able to drag this thing out with high paid lawyers.

I’ve never tried to make that case, but it doesn’t surprise me one bit that you’d take someone else’s words and attribute them to me. Goes right along with your general standard of making up bullshit or twisting arguments.
In fact, months ago when some idiot tried playing the “season ticket holding judge” argument I went to Judge Magnuson’s website and pointed out that it said he was a Gopher season ticket holder, but said nothing about Vikings tickets.

It is different. It’s absolutely different. There’s no denying they violated the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. There’s no denying the fact that every other team in the league is bound by those rules.
With Jolly, nothing’s been proven yet. With Pat and Kevin, it’s all been proven. They are subject to the collective bargaining agreement. If I were Goodell, and the state of Minnesota strikes down this ruling, I’d view the CBA null and void with respect to Vikings players. As such, I’d feel free to violate the CBA to serve my own purposes.
And no, it’s not just because it’s the Vikings. I’d feel the same way if it were the Saints players who decided they weren’t bound by the same rules. I wouldn’t be as vocal about it, but I’d feel the same way.

ok well 200 grams is a lot different than 200 milligrams. Even though I still think codeine is hardly an illicit drug, 200 grams is definitely an amount that has “intent to distribute” written all over it.
The reality is this is a drug that helps people deal with pain; this isn’t heroin or steroids. Codeine is much less damaging than even HGH to human tissue.
I guess I don’t understand the extent to which law enforcement is hammering the guy.

You’re exactly right–it’s not the same.. Jolly hasn’t been proven to have violated any NFL rules. Jolly hasn’t been suspended by the league. The Williamses have.
Again, I won’t even begin to make lame excuses for Jolly. I hope the truth comes out and I hope justice is served. If it was his, I hope he gets nailed and suspended.
On the other hand, Pat and Kevin were nailed and they were suspended. They just haven’t had to sit out.

@Perv- Could have fooled me that we’re in a recession. Had to wait 30 minutes for a table and that was with reservations. Both had Imperials, steak and shrimp were phenomenal as usual, chicken was dry. I stuck to Sam Adams, the wife pounded 3 Lotus Martinis and passed out on the way home.
@ACS- Northern WI is a scary place. That’s why I love it. Barnes, Hayward, Seeley, Drummond-God’s Country.

Yes, it’s definitely worse than taking a spiked diuretic.. If it’s actually Jolly’s stuff. But I won’t make excuses for turds. And if he’s hanging out with turds, then he’s a turd by association. I’ll personally support whatever punishment comes out if it’s proven the drugs were his. His suspension would hurt the team, but I’m not going to be a hypocrite.
Regarding the Williamses. They are guilty because the drug was found in their system. However, they are not forced to suffer the consequences because of the state they play in. It’s a shame that the NFL cannot enforce its own rules.

Seriously? Can you please tell me exactly why the Vikings would want Jolly when we already have the best DL as is? We have 2 Pro Bowl DT’s in the Williams Wall, and a Pro Bowl freak at DE in Allen.
