Galea might be nothing but a voodoo doctor, but he did do something illegal. I don’t think that’s an indictment of the athletes he treats.
Tell government investigators to put down their torches and pitch forks and fix the economy already!

I hope Favre is using HGH- and I would love to see him keep using and play until he is 45. I’m not a fan of his or the Vikings, but it is fun to watch him play.
I hope Peyton Manning uses it too and plays until he is 50. How awesome would that be? I don’t understand what the hell is everyone’s problem with this. There are no proven adverse effects of a properly administered HGH regimen.
I think players who have appeared in at least 5 pro bowls should be allowed to purchase HGH from the league after their 36th birthday.
I hope if Tiger isn’t using it, he starts when he is 40 and wins the Masters when he is 60.

Him being sacked and his ability to recover form a torn bicep and suddenly rifle the ball like it was 10 years ago are not relevant in comparison.

none of you have ever used steroids or HGH have you?
first of all, HGH does not increase your strength or make you have the ability to hit 73 HR’s in a season, and it DEFINITLEY does not do this by using it by itself without some other PED, like decca or test
it will however, allow your muscles and your body to heal in about a 1/3 of the time it normally would w/o anything
it does not work like vicodin or perc’s, meaning that favre can’t take a HGH shot on sunday night to feel better the next day after playing a sunday afternoon game

HGH is harmless if used properly, and has not been shown to provide benefits to people (with the possible exception for injury recovery) unless that person has reached an age where there body is naturally producing less.

In other words, HGH will not help a young athlete who is already producing as much naturally as their body can handle, but it may help an older athlete perform longer. And what is so bad about that? There are also studies out that say it provides not tangible benefits for anyone.
So why the hysteria? Why is this substance illegal? Why spend millions developing tests for a substance that even it’s staunchest supporters admit will not help athletes during their peak years, and may not benefit anyone at all?
