Galea might be nothing but a voodoo doctor, but he did do something illegal. I don't think that's an indictment of the athletes he treats.
Tell government investigators to put down their torches and pitch forks and fix the economy already!

I hope Favre is using HGH- and I would love to see him keep using and play until he is 45. I'm not a fan of his or the Vikings, but it is fun to watch him play.
I hope Peyton Manning uses it too and plays until he is 50. How awesome would that be? I don't understand what the hell is everyone's problem with this. There are no proven adverse effects of a properly administered HGH regimen.
I think players who have appeared in at least 5 pro bowls should be allowed to purchase HGH from the league after their 36th birthday.
I hope if Tiger isn't using it, he starts when he is 40 and wins the Masters when he is 60.
HGH Bumaye!

how many times was he sacked last year compared to this year? you've got to be kidding me with that comparison
Him being sacked and his ability to recover form a torn bicep and suddenly rifle the ball like it was 10 years ago are not relevant in comparison.
Favre is totally the kind of that would use HGH, it's the pink elephant in the room.

@realitypolice
I know, what's the big stink about HGH?! I also think that NFL secondaries should be allowed to snort cocaine so they can be more alert in pass coverage. Lighting up a doobie after reviewing film on the opposition shouldn't be frowned upon. And lastly, if a player has the money and he wants to wear a cologne called "Sex Panther,"(which is made of real panther parts, so you know it's good) then by all means he should be able to. I'm sick and tired of the league and Johnny Law always stepping in to ruin this game.
------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure if that post is making fun of me or not, but either way I think it is hilarious.
I think the FBI should be investigating whether this doctor provided Sex Panther to Tiger Woods to help him pick up cocktail waitresses.

:bearsrule, stick to something you know... like Cutler interceptions, or drafting in the 3rd round. Dara Torres is a sprinter... MUCH different than the stamina/strength required for middle or long distance. She trained for and competed in ONE event... not 8-10 like Michael Phelps."
Rule #1: Make sure you know what you're talking about BEFORE you call someone else out. She is not a sprinter...... dude from Jamaica is a sprinter.
TLyons4: Thank you for making me spit my coffee all over my desk......really appreciate that. However, "Whiskers" had to be on the stuff. Otherwise there's no way to explain him being able to 'acurately' see and call the game into is twilight years.......
Vick might be on them too. How else do you explain his sudden recovery to elite qb status?!? (note, I'm trying to cultivate his image so that the Eagles can get something good in a trade in March).

none of you have ever used steroids or HGH have you?
first of all, HGH does not increase your strength or make you have the ability to hit 73 HR's in a season, and it DEFINITLEY does not do this by using it by itself without some other PED, like decca or test
it will however, allow your muscles and your body to heal in about a 1/3 of the time it normally would w/o anything
it does not work like vicodin or perc's, meaning that favre can't take a HGH shot on sunday night to feel better the next day after playing a sunday afternoon game

So why hasn't the NFL investigated the Steelers doctor who was caught buying HGH? Oh that's right, because they'd probably have to suspend all the Steelers and put asterisks next to their trophies.
I guess their usage of steroids in their past superbowl runs is enough embarrassment to the team.

So Tom Brady is using HGH ? If you're right Barry Sanders won't be the only one with an asterisk by his name.
How did Barry Sanders get nailed with an asterick? It's not like getting pulled on 3rd and short is illegal or anything.

bearsrule says: "Darra Torres can deny it all she wants. There is no way a 40 year old swimmer dominates 20 year olds without artificial help."
bearsrule, stick to something you know... like Cutler interceptions, or drafting in the 3rd round. Dara Torres is a sprinter... MUCH different than the stamina/strength required for middle or long distance. She trained for and competed in ONE event... not 8-10 like Michael Phelps.
Tiger only said he was getting treatments in Canada, he headed to Windsor looking for a SWF interested in his club.

HGH is harmless if used properly, and has not been shown to provide benefits to people (with the possible exception for injury recovery) unless that person has reached an age where there body is naturally producing less.
In other words, HGH will not help a young athlete who is already producing as much naturally as their body can handle, but it may help an older athlete perform longer. And what is so bad about that? There are also studies out that say it provides not tangible benefits for anyone.
So why the hysteria? Why is this substance illegal? Why spend millions developing tests for a substance that even it's staunchest supporters admit will not help athletes during their peak years, and may not benefit anyone at all?
