Vikings expect to have Harvin back

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin missed his first game of the season Sunday because of the migraines that have had him on the injury report much of the year and have plagued him for much of his life.

But the Vikings expect to have Harvin back at practice this week.

Vikings coach Brad Childress said Tuesday on Sirius NFL Radio that Harvin seems to be better this week.

He should be back and at it [Wednesday] when we start practice, but the process is not over yet,” Childress said, per Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune.

Childress said Harvin went through a battery of medical tests on Monday. Last week Harvin was also undergoing tests related to his migraines, and not only did he not practice at all during the week, but Vikings quarterback Brett Favre said he never even saw Harvin at the team facility all week.

Childress said helping Harvin get through the migraines is a high priority.

“We’re working vigorously to try to address [the issue] and take some testing and that type of thing, which I’m sure he’s gone through before,” Childress said.
