Larry Fitzgerald says he’ll play Sunday, Whisenhunt not sure

Less than 48 hours after putting a scare into Cardinals fans and fantasy owners like Florio alike, Larry Fitzgerald was back on a football field Wednesday.

He was a limited participant in practice following his knee injury suffered against the 49ers. Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports Fitzgerald suffered a sprained MCL and a bone contusion.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt said the team will evaluate Fitzgerald throughout the week. Fitzgerald was less vague, saying he will play at Detroit.

That Fitzgerald was able to do anything Wednesday, so soon after the injury, suggests he may be proven right.
