Please stop speaking…you are both the type of fans that make others hate on NY fans. Start to learn the game and stop being blinded by the fact that you love the Giants and hate the Cowboys.
Romo has folded under pressure in his career so far. He has a ton of talent and is among the upper echelon quarterbacks.
Eli is a VERY intelligent man who somehow milked the NY Giants for more money than his brother, Brees, Brady, and Romo. E. Manning is incredible in the two-minute drill, but there is more to football than that. His inaccuracy and inability to lead makes him an average NFL QB at best.
Romo just needs to win once to shut people up.
I don’t personally like Romo’s moxy though.
If there were a draft tomorrow, Tony Romo’s name is being called before Eli Manning’s…by 99% of the teams

How many trips to the playoffs did it take before Peyton won?
In 32 more career starts (the equivalent of two full seasons) NY’s #1 overall pick has accumulated a grand total of 3803 more yards, 20 more TDs and 32 more INTs than Dallas’ undrafted starting QB.
Eli also has a career completion percentage of 56.3% (compared to Romo’s 63.2%), avged 6.6 yards per attempt (compared to Romo’s 8.1 yard avg – #3 All Time) and has a career passer rating of 78.7 (Romo’s is 95.4 – #2 All Time).
It’s fairly evident to even the most casual of NFL observers Eli can’t hold Romo’s jockstrap.

While the Cowboys are 0-2 this December, in those two games Romo has thrown for 641 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INTs, completed 71% of his passes and avged 7.5 yards per attempt.

Ah the post was almost intelligent until you started running your mouth. Well to be honest Spielman left the Dolphins in the 2005 offseason when they hired Nick Saban. I think they hired some guy like Meuller or something. Culpepper arrived in Miami for the 2006 season. It was a good attempt at an insult though. If you are keeping track though the GM with that “very low revenue team” in 3 years has drafted 6 quality starters, 2 possible rookie of the years, and not to mention Jared Allen. Oh and so far this years rookie class all has at least 1 start. Not too many GMs can say that. However, I think that your glorious GM in the last 3 years did manage to get 2 starters and a backup TE. Oh by the way the Packers revenue is only like 20 million more than the vikings last year. Something tells me that with a certain #4 in purple that could be different this year.

Payton knew he needed a QB when he arrived in New Orleans. Prior to arriving he was a coach for the Cowboys and was familiar with Romo.
Payton and the Saints inquired about the possible availability of Romo and whether there was a possibility of Dallas working out a trade of Romo.
Dallas told the Saints that no reasonable trade possibility existed. The Saints moved on.
Payton looked at the potential QB’s who were available and wanted Brees to come in for a visit.
Brees visited Miami, wanted to sign with Miami and was issued a negative physical report by the Miami doctors.
Brees visited New Orleans, was offered a contract and signed with the Saints.
I believe the above time line of events is correct. End of story.
If Payton had stayed with Dallas, Romo would be a better QB than he is now and Miami would have probably gotten Brees killed with the state of their offensive line at the time.

Romo is a top 5 QB who has been the victim of bad luck in December and has a coach that does not know how to use his talents properly. The only QBs I would take over him are Peyton Manning, Rivers, and Roethlisberger. No one else is better and when it is all said and done Romo will win multiple Super Bowls while Brees and Rivers will never win any. The Saints would have won the Super Bowl in 2006 with Romo, because Romo would have never choked like Brees did against the Bears.

Truth is, the whole Cowboys organization could have done better with a head coach that isn’t concerned more with players liking him than instilling a good swift kick in the butt when necessary.

There is no evidence except revisionist history to suggest that Payton ever preferred Romo to Brees.
And who knows, maybe Romo would be “one of the best two or three quarterbacks in the league” if Payton were his coach the last 4 years.
It is kind of silly to try to make the coach of a 13-0 team look stupid – but if you were going to pick an example of stupidity – why not use trading your starting quarterback and two first round picks AND a third round pick for Cutler and a 5th round pick?

Tony Romo is a decent QB, no more than that. He has reached his potential and that is beyond the expectations of most NFL professionals. So, in the end, that he is good enough to flash promise and is going to continue to do just enough to keep the Cowfans off of his back enough to toss him.
I like this, it means the Cows will be late and short for a few more years.

Brees was a tough call. He was coming off of an injury and he had never played as well with the Chargers as he has played the last few years with the Saints.
I never, ever saw the fascination with Culpepper who was also coming off an injury and who had gone downhill drastically without Moss.
I would say that looking back Payton lucked into winding up with Brees but it sure didn’t hurt Brees that he ended up with Payton either.
