Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney will play tonight against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Michael Lombardi of NFL Network is reporting.
Lombardi also reports that Colts defensive end Robert Mathis will be a game-time decision.
Freeney is officially listed as questionable with the abdominal injury that has already forced him to miss one game. Given that Colts coach Jim Caldwell specified that “healthy” players will play now that the Colts have locked up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, the report that Freeney will play is a surprise.
Mathis, who has a quad injury, is also listed as questionable and also hasn’t practiced this week.
Between the two of them, Freeney and Mathis have 21 of the Colts’ 30 sacks this season.
Where is the inactive report for tonights game!!!!!
They probably-oughta play.
colts only 3 point favorites? sounds very suspicious – again in the ONLY game on national tv , the only game that gamblers bet on coast to coast.
3 points- very suspicious!
@Bob S
Why suspicious??? Gamblers are unsure what the Colts would do. If this game “mattered” to the Colts, the line would probably be Colts -7.5. Lines fluctuate to get even action…enough people believe the Colts will ease up and that pushed the line lower.
