The question of whether Pats receiver Randy Moss worked hard on the football field five days ago remains a subject of debate.
It’s indisputable, however, that Moss has been working overtime to avoid talking to reporters since then.
As we recently pointed out, Moss routinely dodges reporters, both during the week and, at times, after games. To our knowledge, Moss has not been fined for failing to speak to the press.
This is seirous news, by a serious news organization.

Florio its sad you’re using you hard earned influence on the NFL to try and get the guy fined; he doesn’t want to talk so let him be stop making a big deal about it; as a fellow WV native you should want Moss to do well…..

No matter how many posters out their hate the Pats/Brady/Moss if was any of their teams (hello Big Ben?) do you think that NFL players must speak to the press whenever the press wants to speak to them on a daily basis?
I have been withPFT for many years and I have to admit as much as I chuckle at the people who attach Florio, I do think because of the amount of time certain analysts continue to beat this drum.

Here’s the deal…the team owner said he is okay with Moss’ play and the coach says he is okay with it. That should be the end of it from a media standpoint.

You guys are missing the point. Ever NFL player is required to speak or be available to the media period. Why should this prima donna be any different? He should make himself available then say to ever question until the time is up, “next question”, “next question”. If Favre/Manning/Brees, or Rivers was doing this, you all would have a field day with it! Randy Moss is no different then any other player.

There’s no way Moss can win with media types like you so he does the right thing and simply avoids them.
Has it ever crossed anyone’s mind that he might not feel well? These flu viruses are prevalent and symptoms can last up to 4 weeks. He is human and has nothing to prove to anyone. I know he’s tired of play by play of his weekly infirmities or lapses. He IS one of the best ever.
So because Moss doesn’t like making a spectacle of himself like Ocho Cinco (who does it in a good way) or T.O. (who does it in a bad way), he should get fined for it? That’s weak. Besides, who says Moss HAS to talk to the press? Do all players have to talk to the press? Cause I haven’t heard comments this week from Sam Aiken, Wes Welker, Jonathan Wilhite, Chris Hanson, or Stephen Gostkowski either. Why not give them all a seperate post about “ducking reporters”?

While I think the epic Moss dodging saga has gone on long enough, the point that Florio has made in each post is that he dodges the post game pressers also. I have read, and feel much dumber because of it, every posting about the dodger Moss, and I have to back up Florio in that he makes it clear that if Moss chooses to skip the weekday ones he can, but he tends to skip out on the Sunday ones. TO got a fine because of this, why doesn’t Randy?
Is it me or does every week bring a new rules infringement that one player/team/coach is punished for while others go untouched or unnoticed.

Moss is a punk. Why doesn’t he talk to the media? Guys like him (and some of the readers of this site) forget why the NFL is the most popular sport in this country. The media built the NFL and former Commissioner Rozelle knew the importance of it. Fans want to hear from him as well as any player in the league. His act is a tired one and he just needs to go away.
