Reggie Bush injures leg on Saturday night

Saints running back Reggie Bush injured his leg during the second quarter of Saturday night’s game against the Cowboys.

The official play-by-play of the game reveals that it occurred with 3:16 to play in the half.  His return was listed at the time as doubtful.

He caught a 16-yard pass and pulled up hobbling.  Lance Moore handed Bush’s punt-return duties the rest of the way.

Before leaving, Bush had a 29-yard run.  He caught one other pass for a one-yard gain.

Given the inability of the Vikings to contain Bush on punt returns during a 2008 regular-season Monday night game, an injury that could make him unavailable for several weeks could be problematic for the Saints if/when the two teams get together in the postseason.

Then again, a Vikings-Saints NFC title game suddenly is looking a lot less inevitable than it did 12 hours ago.

Poor Reggie. If I had Kim Kardashian to “nurse” me back to health, I would be doing my best Albert Haynesworth impression. Act hurt on every other play then call for the nurse.

Big deal. So it’s a loss. If DallASS gets in, which is still doubtful, the Saints would destroy them in a rematch. Saints will have half their team back from injury. Beating them in a meaningless regular season game is one thing, but in the playoffs, it’s another.

I wonder if Reggie is prepared for the huge pay cut that is coming his way.

——————————————————- DallASS? Really?? What are ten years old? Is that really the best you can come up with? Get back into your Batman PJs, go back to bed, and don’t get back on the internet until mommy gets up to watch you.

The Vikings Special Teams are leap and bounds better than thye unit Reggie faced. This year they have been terrific in coverage, returns, etc.
