You jealous pitiful idiot,
Please tell me, how do you know who is a "bandwagonjumper" or not?
Do you meet and greet all Vikings fans every year?
Do you keep logs on how many were last year, and how many this year?
Do yourself a favor and go on a packer post, than you wont look so stupid!
They are all stupid on packer post's.
Thats why you never see a Vikings fan commenting on them, but always see packer fans commenting on Vikings post's.
Do you know how stupid that makes you and your toothless friends look?

Just wait until he can't make up his mind if he wants to play or not next year, and prevents the Vikings from making any 2010 plans. We should hear something in, oh, late July. And any minute now we are going to start hearing from all the "experts" who will say they "knew" he was not a good fit, and they "knew" he was not the answer......the same people that have been backslapping themselves for how awesome their mightier than ever team is (was.) LOL at the Vikings fans, 95% of whom were gloating several weeks ago when "Chilly" got his extension after compiling a great record off of a total cupcake schedule. Now they turn on him in an instant because some 40 year old at the end of his career is doing what he's done for the 3rd year in a row with the 3rd team in a row......cause trouble. They sound like Philly and Dallas fans who were in denial about T.O.......they all said "you guys are just haters, that isn't going to happen here".
Oh, and Vikings fans.....until you guys win at least ONE Super Bowl you should probably STFU about the Packers. Their franchise history speaks for itself, and unfortunately for you, so does yours. It makes your chest-thumping talk just laughable. You should probably win something before running your mouths.
Not like we didn't know Vikings fans are total and complete bandwagon jumpers who even flirt with blackouts for home playoff games........when polled last summer only 29% of Minnesotans said they wanted Favre as a Viking. "Favre-mania" is an apt term....because it sure isn't Vikings mania going on there in Minnesota. Yet another instance of fans putting player above team....no wonder Favre thinks he can do whatever the hell he wants.
-------------------------------------------------
You act like you personally helped the Packers win their championships the way you talk about the Packers history. You're just fool on a message board. You as a Packer fan have done nothing except hitch you wagon to an organization with a history. Go piss in a sink

Call it insubordination if you will, but it's good for the team and morale because the QB is supposed to be the general of the field.

Don't agree. You've got a lot of kids 25 and under and you can't undercut the coach. That will come back to bite you when your young people think they know more than their coaches and start freelancing. Yes, there are double standards for stars, but those are mostly personal or practice field type things. The game is your war, and there can only be one general. Chilly is not handling his relationship with Brett too well lately. When Farve goes out of his way to talk about their dustup to the press, it's not good. A lot of HC's don't even talk to the QB much on the sidelines, that would be Bevell's job, like in the old Farve sideline footage when Holmgren tells Mooch to pull Brett. He tells the QB coach to do it.

At least explains why Chilly would wear a dress, because he has no balls in the first place.
Can this story get any better, you bet it can. They will go one and done in the playoffs and Chilly and Brent can start a fist fight on the sidelines in full view of the TV cameras. I would think the NFL films could sell that on pay per view in slow motion. I know I would pay to watch it.

But it was absolutely HYSTERICAL watching the Favre thing play out, because Vikings fans were all "Oh boy! We're getting Favre!
To all you Vikings rubes out there who hate Childress: get a grip. In 2006, he took over a team in complete disarray and that was filled with players who cared very little about the team concept and systematically turned them into one the league's elite teams (Vikings records since Chilly started in 2006: 6-10, 8-8, 10-6, and currently 11-3). Is he perfect? No; but there are very few NFL coaches who are loved by their hometown fans. If you think you're smarter or understand football more than Chilly, you're a complete jackass. Even 95% of the people who frequent this site and consider themselves die-hard NFL fans with an esoteric understanding of the game have no idea what it takes to be a head coach in the NFL, so please just shut-up with the lame attempts to be funny and/or rip a head coach who has 8000 times more knowledge and understanding of the game than you do AND has turned a franchise into one of the best in the league. But until he wins a couple Super Bowls, all, the rubes out there think he's an idiot. Newsflash: 31 out of 32 NFL head coaches don't win the Super Bowl every year, and there are only a few active head coaches with Super Bowl rings. So should we not judge Chilly on his job performance since he took over in 2006? If so, what coach has done a better job of building and maintaining their roster in that period of time?
Look at the 31 other coaches in the league and name those who have done a better job of building and/or coaching a winning team. Keep in mind that Chilly has also been the primary decision-maker for the roster since he was hired (Rick Spielman was hired many months after Chilly and it is widely believed that Chilly has the final say in personnel decisions), which includes both the draft and free agents. So he has been close to a de facto GM and decided to bring in the following free agents (or traded for): Steve Hutchinson, Jared Allen, Mideau Williams, Bernard Berrian, Chet Taylor, Ben Leber, Ryan Longwell, Vianthe Shiancoe, and Brett Favre. He and Spielman chose these starters or regular contributors via the draft in the past few years: Adrian Peterson, Sid Rice, Phil Loadholt, Percy Harvin, Tyrell Johnson, Cedric Griffin, Brian Robison, Ray Edwards, Chad Greenway, and John Sullivan. The Vikings are a veteran-heavy team, yet are 2nd in the NFL for rookie starts this season, with all (only) 5 picks contributing heavily to their success so far this year. So is he really an idiot?
Yes, he botched the QB situation going into last season and put too much faith in Tarvaris Jackson when he wasn't ready; but he acknowledged his mistake, went after Sage Rosenfels, and then added Favre when he became available. This situation is actually one of the best reasons he deserved the extension: he recognized a mistake he made and made sure he was able to correct it.
Look at some of the coaches around the league who are either not helping their team reach their potential or simply in over their heads and likely not well suited to the job: Raheem Morris, Tom Cable, Jim Zorn, Lovie Smith, Gary Kubiak, Jim Mora, Jr., Jack Del Rio, Wade Phillips, Dick Jauron (fired a few weeks ago), and Eric Mangini. There are several coaches that are in their first year trying to rebuild a team that has been and still is awful - Jim Schwartz, Todd Haley, Mike Singletary, and Steve Spagnulo. A few others look promising, but are still less proven than Childress: John Harbaugh, Tony Sparano, Sean Peyton, Mike Smith, Mike McCarthy, and Jim Caldwell. There are only a few coaches left that can be considered proven winners who have built and maintained solid teams, and that is why Chilly was given an extension - he has built a team that has continued to improve since he took over and is now loaded with talent. Every franchise strives for stability, and Childress has built the foundation for a very solid team for years to come. Additionally, he has built a team with a culture of accountability and the players respect him and love playing for him (Favre is an exception here because to him, it is and always has been about himself).
And for all those of you who continually bitch about the play-calling, direct your complaints to Darrell Bevell - he's the one who calls the plays. And I love how (undeservedly) unpopular head coaches get almost all of the blame when a team plays poorly (like the Vikes did last night), but the players themselves who miss tackles, miss blocks, fall down in coverage, or drop passes get relatively little criticism. This is because lazy football fans ("rubes") find it much less difficult to simply blame the head coach than really look at what went wrong. And this is the category where 90% of NFL fans fit into - lazy rubes with a very shallow pool of real knowledge about the game. Here's a little football 101 for all of you rubes: lack of execution is the players' fault, not the coaches, and especially not the head coaches. Was it Childress who couldn't cover Steve Smith (Winfield) or couldn't fall on a fumble that would have changed the game (Leber) or threw a terrible interception in the end zone (Favre) or dropped a pass that hit him between the numbers on a very key third down play (Shiancoe) last night? That's right, it wasn't, and yet somehow he gets the blame and he's a horrible coach.
The fact that there are so many vocal idiots out there making uninformed and poorly thought-out comments as to why he's undeserving of his job and/or 5-year extension proves to me that Zygi Wilf did the right thing by initially hiring Chilly and then extending his contract. Oh, and there's also the fact that the team he built and coached is one of the very best in the league, both by the depth of the talent on the roster and by their win-loss record.

This isn't Varsity Blues for some of those commenting on the "QB overtaking the head coach" drama. This is the NFL where a Pro Bowl, Super Bowl winning QB has some say so in if he's coming out or not.
Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Brett Favre are QB's who fully understand the offense they are running who fit the mold above. They won't let their teams down by going to the bench.
Call it insubordination if you will, but it's good for the team and morale because the QB is supposed to be the general of the field.
Favre isn't dividing the locker room, he's bringing it together (and I really hate writing this because I can't stand the Vikings).

LOL at the Vikings fans, 95% of whom were gloating several weeks ago when "Chilly" got his extension after compiling a great record off of a total cupcake schedule.

How many future hall-of-fame quarterbacks are threatened with bencing for the reasons Childress had? Is Peyton Manning calling all the shots for his team, or would he sit if his coach told him to?
In Favre you must trust, Chilly. You begged him to play and gave him the reins, and because it was a difficult choice for him, it was obviously conditional.
It's Brett Favre. He's come out of games early this season when the team was safely ahead. You don't quit. What kind of message does that send to your team? You still have to lock up the second seed to get a buy for your old man.
It just seems the two of you need to work on contingencies and learn to communicate on the field without a Bevell intermediary.

After hating Favre for so many years Viking fans lined up with spoon in hand just waiting for Brett's next bowl movement and now reality is going to set in.
He is still the same turd that you hated before, you have kissed his ass, liked the taste and you will not see your team in the Super Bowl.
You have sold out and you now have something in common with the cheesedicks.
You are brothers in Favre except you lapped up their sloppy seconds.
You have become even more retarded then Packer fans and that is no easy task.
Hahahahahahaaaa..........
SKOL! (that is Viking fan talk for "slurp")

The comment you made was good enough for me to post for the first time. Being a Packer fan I take my team and winning seriously. I don't care about the Vikes and won't bash them unless they are directly in the Packers way. If people were to grow up in WI rooting for the Pack maybe they would understand what the fans went thru with Favre ending his career here. I loved Favre but he's gone now so I've moved on. He was awesome for us for a lot of years and it was a great time to be a good team for most of his years here. But he certainly broke our hearts almost as many times as he thrilled us over the years. He had many years in the playoffs with very good Packer teams that just fizzled out on 4 and 26. He also fizzled in the cold the last game he played here by throwing that pick against the Giants in a game in which he cost HIMSELF and the team a chance to go to the SB. It wasn't 3rd down or a desperate situation, it was overtime and a chance to live another down.
I say all this because with Favre you get what you get. That is greatness and craziness all at the same time. The best part for the Vikes is he won't have to play in the cold in the Playoffs unless maybe Philly jumps ahead of them for 2nd best record.
Good luck to Favre and the Vikes.....unless you play my beloved Packers!
