The road to a 59-0 rematch in the playoffs just hit a large pothole.
The Tennessee Titans will play the rest of the season without two starting linebackers: Keith Bullock and David Thornton.
Bullock, a long-time defensive leader in Tennessee, tore his ACL during Sunday’s win over the Dolphins. He was having a resurgent season at 32 years old and will be placed on injured reserve.
Thornton’s most productive days may be behind him, but he started all eleven games he played this year. He sat out Sunday with a shoulder/pectoral injury that will end his season.
Tennessee will try to keep its playoff hopes alive against the Chargers on Christmas night (Or as the Rosenthals call it: “Family Day.”)
Thornton is under contract for $4 million next season; Bulluck will be a free agent.
Well, that sucks…..
Gerald McGrath, a rookie, has been excellent filling in for Thorton while he has been out.
Bulluck being out might be the difference between containing Gates, Sproles, and LT and not. Aldred and Keglar just aren’t even in Bulluck’s league both against the pass and against the run.
I dig the anti-religion quip Rose, but really, it has nothing to do with Christianity. It’s ok to celebrate it without being a jesus-freak. It’s my favorite holiday.
rush: my favorite holiday too. i’m not joking my mom called it that when i was a kid. gifts, food, we do it up.
Hard hitting game between two up and coming clubs…
It’s spelled BullUck, Gregg.
I don’t think it was an anti-religion quip. Rather, I think the Rosenthals, like my family, celebrate a different holiday during the winter season. Just a guess.
it’s Christmas.
A shame about Bulluck. He prolly won’t ever play for the Titans again.
Maybe deep-pockets Snyder will put him back behind Haynesworth.
Not enjoying your ‘jesus freak’ comment, rush. I guess you know what you can do with a goat.
Oh, and Merry Christmas~!
