After a delay due to some minor technical challenges (i.e., plugging the machine in might help), we’ve got today’s PFT Daily segment ready to roll.
So click below for a look at whether Mike Holmgren should fire Eric Mangini, the new schism in Minnesota, and what the Redskins should have done on that ridiculous play to end the first half of last night’s game.
Other than, you know, not call it.
Who is “Mike Holmgren’s”?
I didn’t know you had knowledge of the game Mike. Maybe you can coach the Redskins next year…:)
Florio, your tie is off-center. Talk to make-up before you do the next PFT break. Come on, you’re representing us.
Dat Skins play was the stupidest play I think I’ve ever seen called by anyone. However, what should anyone expect from a ukulele-playin’ head coach ?
I think Mangini deserves another year.
I don’t think there’s any problem in Minnesota.
Would really be nice if you get the tech geeks at NBC to fix the probs with the video! No need to keep the damn mouse over the player jus to keep it going!
That being said –
Why would that crappy play in Washington seal the demise of Zorn? He doesn’t call the plays anymore or did you forget that little tidbit?
When talking bout Minnesota, you really need to get a clue. You are beating a dead horse. I guess you gotta have something to talk about —–
OK Mike. Another place for the 4th gradeers to play huh?
So Mangini needs to go. Ya think?
re: your comment, “Brett Favre wins”. Brett Favre Always wins. He’s got Bus Cooke, Deanna, ESPN & The NFLN to make sure of it.
The Redskins should mercifully let Zorn go. They have totally deflated his value as a coach and have embarrased him as an individual. Leaving him as HC while taking away his abilities, hiring a new GM and basically a HC while he is on the sidelines is a complete & utter travesty. I think last mights game was a result of the whole team giving the front office a big one finger (Bud Adams) salute.

Florio for Coach of the Redskins
OK I thought Zorn wasn’t the one calling the plays for the Redskins. How can he take the brunt of that horrible play when it wasn’t him making the call? Am I missing something?
Zorn calls the plays inside 2 minutes!!!!!!!!!!
It is patently obvious he’s a joke, and the players should have simply refused to do it after the Giants time out and should have kicked. Sometimes the kids gotta come right out and tell Dad he’s Drunk and they’re gonna drive him home…………
Mike is sporting the Steve McGarrett Hawaii Five-0 hair. Pretty cool.
Hey Mike, why aren’t you wearing a Santa suit, and your buddy Joe “Spicolli” Piacotto wearing an elf suit? Come on, throw us a bone.
Florio,
Not only is your tie off center, you look like hell! Get some sleep man!
“If they get even better under Mangini, Holmgren will be stuck with him for another year…” isnt that the whole point, is to get better?
I approve of this message.
Umm, wasn’t it the special teams coach that called Hunter Smith’s TWO TD plays this season? How does he get credit for those, but Zorn gets the blame for this. I agree it was a terrible call, but remember that they did the SAME thing on a fake FG and ran the SAME play after a time out and it worked last time. It wasn’t Zorn’s call then and it wasn’t this time. AGAIN how many head coaches call all the plays??? I think the lack of an offensive line has more to do with the skins problems than zorn. And who’s fault is that? Vinny…and he’s gone. Lay off Zorn. We should raise him up as an example of how to handle a terrible situation and if someone wants a role model…he’s much more of one that most of the cry baby players.
