Romo will remain the holder

Cowboys kicker Nick Folk’s slump started five weeks ago, well before Tony Romo took over as holder.

In fact, Folk’s slump was largely the reason Romo took over at holder.  Even though Folk is now gone, Romo will keep the gig.

“Romo’s the best holder right now and we have a new kicker,” coach Wade Phillips said.

Romo actually worked with new Cowboys kicker Shaun Suisham during his last stint with the team.

The Cowboys reconvened for a light practice Tuesday after a couple days off following Saturday night’s win.  The Dallas Morning News reports that DeMarcus Ware and Martellus Bennett were both in attendance.

Ware is expected to get a full complement of snaps after being limited during the early portions of the Saints game.  Bennett sounds like he has a good chance to play against Washington after missing two straight games.

McBriar or Kitna would be better options. Why place Romo into a potentially dangerous situation?

    Dallas 31
    Foreskins 10
Romo throws for over 300, 2 td’s and all you cunts eat your words.

Romo is also the holder in the bedroom. The question is, which one of his teammates is the kicker?

He better against that disaster of a team in Washington. If not you will be the filthy cunt who got creampied with humble pie and throughly reminded of which month it is.

This team can pressure the QB without blitzing and it has two excellent cover corners in Jenkins and Newman.
This team can run the ball with three capable backs and throw it with a QB that is maturing with each game.
The Head Coach and recent history are shaky, granted.
As of now, this team controls it’s own destiny.

Romo is a legend with the game on the line.

shockingly well indeed, virtualplague. but if you had that kind of offensive line, so would you, jamarcus russell. you too, dan orlovsky. anybody can throw any ball any where they any want(?) with a solid oline, which is one thing jerrymeister has done in his…career…with the cowboys.
but back to the subject matter of this story: tony romo is probably gonna be fine as a holder. its not really like hes destined to blow a game due to a botched hold. but if he does, itd be hilarious.
@cubano: t’would be quite the jest if he kicks the game winner. or if he misses it. either way, shaun suisham on the cowboys is funny.

Romo is the “holder” and Witten is the “shaker.”
By the way, if you’re on an NFL roster and you’re the SECOND best holder, congrats on getting the work.

Witten the shaker, I hope that’s not derogatory towards Jason Witten. Witten is a true blue all out player and always has been
