Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck picked a rough time for the first major injury of his career.
32 years old and headed for free agency, the Titans stalwart will undergo surgery for a torn ACL. It will be the first surgery since he had his wisdom teeth removed as a teen.
“The football gods have been good to me,” Bulluck told Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean. “I definitely
have nothing to complain about. I would be a very selfish person if I
sat here and was bitter or mad or upset about what happened.”
The Titans had not broached a possible contract extension with Bulluck before the injury, although he was playing well in the middle of their defense.
Bulluck started 127 consecutive games, and his reputation as a well-respected leader
should help him get a job next season for a team looking for veteran help.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen next,” Bulluck said. “But
you know what? I still like my odds, and I always bet on myself. I’m a
born winner. I have been in too many situations in my 32 years to lose.”
Bud Adams… pay the man!
Clarkstown North in the houseeeeeee
for the record jeff fisher said yesterday on his show that they intend to make sure bulluck retires a titan..however at this point its just talk but hopefully it happens the way fisher says..for the record most things he says happens so i think it’ll happen, theres a reason why hes the best coach in the NFL…yeah i said it and i dont want to hear nothing about a cheating coach whos won multiple rings while cheating..lets see them win since they (most likely) aren’t cheating now
Dallas would love to have him if the ACL is healthy. They got a decent year out of Zach Thomas and are getting a good one from Keith Brooking.
I still can’t believe Tom Coughlin took RJ Soward instead of Bulluck.

I’d like to think that’s the case but the Titans don’t have a good track record of keeping their veteran talent. We can only hope since his biggest contribution is in the locker room… that defense would never be the same without him.
Also, since you were so kind to point out my spelling error let me return the favor… you used a double negative in that second to last sentence fragment.
A great player and a great person. Hopefully the Titans will extend his contract.
