If quarterback Brett Favre didn’t already have the ability to do pretty much whatever he wants when it comes to changing the offensive plays that are called by the Vikings coaching staff, he sure does now.
Apart from the fact that cameras will be trained on the facial expressions, body language, and lip movements of coach Brad Childress for the balance of the season, which as a practical matter keeps Childress from benching Favre for any reason, Childress created a strong impression during a Wednesday press conference that all is well with the way Favre is running the offense, and that Favre has the ability to change plays if he wants to.
But Childress made clear that his vision of the West Coast offense entails very few play changes by the quarterback, and Childress somewhat awkwardly danced around the topic of the non-heated “heated discussion” between coach and player from Sunday night at Carolina.
As to the question of whether Childress has considered pulling Favre out of a game, Childress was clear; he said he “never” has thought about yanking Favre.
But in separate remarks, Favre said the situation is “resolved,” which means that something happened between the two men.
“I’m here for one reason,” Favre said. “That’s to help this team win. I’m gonna do everything in my power to see that that happens.”
Favre said that there was “frustration” on Sunday night, and that it’s natural for frustration to arise when a team has lost two of three games.
He also said that the situation has been “blown out of proportion,” but what else would he say? He has, as a practical matter, won the face off with Childress.
Even if Childress won’t acknowledge that there ever was one.
Childress just needs to go Tonya Harding on Nancy Favre and end this drama now.
What does Ed Werder have to say about this? You insiders seem to have all the answers, I just cannot understand why more of these insiders are not general managers or coaches within the NFL as they have all the answers. I guess there in more money being an insider and rumor mill then being a coach or lawyer.
“He also said that the situation has been “blown out of proportion,” but what else would he say?”
Exactly. He would say that, because the Media HAS. They’ve been itching (PFT included) for a story on this relationship all year, and the minute even a smidgen of something appears, it is, well… blown out of proportion.
Players and coaches have arguments all the time in the NFL, this is not news. QBs with proven track records and a high football IQ will often call the shots on the line in the NFL, this is not news. Favre has been doing it all year, and Chilly has been fine with it all year because he KNEW that this was going to be the case when he brought Favre on. Thinking he didn’t is foolishness to the n-th degree.
Childress not acknowledging it is the right course of action. To buy into the media hype would give players a distraction during this crucial time in the season. Favre saying its resolved is the right course of action for the same reason.
All is well in Norseland, media be damned.
Florio, you and Paul Allen have had bigger conflicts. This Favre vs Chilly crap goes on with all NFL teams. This was blown up because Brett Favre is the golden boy of sports media. WHAT WILL you all do when he retires??? Enjoy it while it lasts.
I don’t know about anybody else but I can’t stand anymore BF talk. I mean every Sunday on the pregame shows there is some sort of BF piece. Now with this situation, I mean it happens every week why do we harp on just this instance ? Please PFT stop posting this non sense !!
You see that…Its Resolved! Ok, Vikings and Favre haters (especially Florio), Favre says its resolved so go look somewhere else for a non-story to build upon.
By coming to the Vikings Favre is responsible for Chilly going from probably being fired after this season to a huge contract extension so really, who’s zooming who?
Looks like the Cryptkeeper’s sources were correct on this one. He said last night on SportsCenter Bert and Chilly would make nice for the balance of the season, with Brent getting his way and definitely NOT COMING BACK for next year. Painted yourself in a corner, huh Brad.
And how much can 1 man ( Peter King ) suck another man’s wan ( Favre ) This guy has a serious man crush or just likes to remind us every 5 seconds that he and this geezer text !
Methinks Favre is definitely one and done with the Vikings. No way is he welcomed back next year. Vikes fans better pray they win it this year because next year it’s back to T-jack/Rosenfels. If the Vikes win it, Favre will retire like Elway did (although people still liked Elway at the time). If not, this season will have been a huge failure and no way the Vikings will elect to put themselves through his drama for another summer and subsequent season.
Wow…talk about making something out of nothing. Funny how all the Pats fans think the Moss and Thoma story werent stories, but they dont mind jumping on Favre…HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
‘Resolved’ as in Childress will now address Farve as, ‘Your Majesty’, and will bow and avert his eyes whenever ‘His Majesty’ passes?
My take is that Chilly is still an idiot. There is NO WAY that this team is 11-3 with Sagarious Jacksonfels as the QB.
For Chilly to want to bench Favre when they are winning is idiotic. Favre should be running the offense.
Chilly’s interview with Andrea Kramer was scary. He had no emotion and showed no command as a leader. He sounded like a funeral director.
Better to have Favre in charge who at least shows emotion, passion and a desire to stick it to somebody.
So what will happen if they lose to Chicago this week? Will the two still be getting along saying that there are no problems?
More importantly, will the Viking fans’ egos take a hit? They were so cocky when they started10-1, but since losing the past 2 of 3 games, the mood in the room has changed slightly.
Que the losers music from Price is Right.
I think the situation will be resolved if the Vikings win the next 2 games and get the #2 seed.
“He also said that the situation has been “blown out of proportion,” but what else would he say? He has, as a practical matter, won the face off with Childress. ”
Nothing else becuase he hit the nail right on the head, it was blown way out of proportion just like anything else he does.
What are you ever going to do for blog posts once Favre retires for good?
Is this like when your wife/girfriend says FINE at the end of an argument? Childress isn’t fooling anybody by making us thinks he’s ever grown a pair. Still you have to admire his feeble attempt at “leadership”. that being said, nobody honestly thinks he can get Favre to do anything other than what he wants to do. Favre’s crotchedy-old-man routine is hilarious! All he had to do was add a “dadgummit” or a “by crackey” and his statements would have been complete. By the way Viking fans, that snickering you hear in the background are Jets fans who already know what you’re in for in the playoffs. Enjoy your Favre!
This whole story about Favre vs. Childress is ridiculous.
I think they honestly would have resolved their differences for the team. I think that Childress will start to include Brett in on the gameplan and things will be straight come game time this Monday.
Now I do think that the Vikings will run the ball a ton this M0nday with the cold weather, and to get back to what the Vikings are, a running team.
I think Peterson is so damn worried about fumbling that it is ruining his game. I might catch some heat for this, but Taylor is basically fresh, and he needs more carries.
Also, include Harvin more, sweeps, reverses or as a decoy.
Please keep this story going. Packer fans need to feel better about the fact that Favre and the Vikings beat them twice this year.
I love how when ex players are asked about the situation, they say things like this happen all the time. But yet the media will just ignore that answer and continue to make a big deal out of it.
Especially if it’s Favre.
Look, I’ve see all the video. There was no “heated” discussion. Just the Florios of the world making money. In reality, Favre clearly wins in discussions vs. that weirdo coach, what’s his name, Chilly? And he should win. Chilly is the worst coach with the best team in the history of the NFL. Nobody deals with this axis: Favre’s greatest value to the Vikings is that he ass-slaps the idiot coach.
So it sounds like Favre and Chilly just foocked and made up then? Kudos to Favre for grabbing major headlines – that has to make his holiday season.
Chilly: Please Mr Farve, if you follow my gameplan I’ll wear my stewardess outfit again just for you….
Farve: Did somebody say something ? Funny, didn’t catch a word. Sorry, I’m too busy working on my audibles to pay attention to anything else right now.
Farve resolved the problem – Chilly had to say three Hail Marys and two Our Fathers after confessing his sins.
Odds on a two interception game this weekend? Three interceptions? Yeah – Old Yeller calling plays equals a third seed in the playoffs. But then the option is Jackson so really there is no option at all.
Bottom line: QB’s and coaches butt heads all the time. Favre and Holmgren’s interactions both on the sidelines and behind the scenes make this episode look like a tea party.
Facts: The team is 11-3 and could lock up a bye this weekend. They’ve played poorly 2 of the last three weeks, but have played pretty damn well 12 of the last 14 games, including the loss at Pittsburgh.
Everything else is speculation. Enjoy the season…let it play out.
Say what you want… but Minnesota just lost 2 of 3 games. They are sliding and all is not well in the Land of Lakes and Swiss Miss wigs. Favre said Chilly wanted to yank him… and now Chilly denies it. Who really cares what was said? All I care about is the decline on the field. It is good to see Favre getting sacked and tossing picks. It is good to see A.P. struggle. It is good to not hear the name of mullet man. It is good to see that the Vikings peaked in November. It will be good to see ‘em 1 and done. Merry Christmas to all and to Minnesota good night.
please don’t use favre and ELWAY in the same sentence.
Favre needs to shut the fck up and concentrate on playing football instead of being the mouthpiece for the Vikings. That God this will all end on 1/11/2010 – the day after the Vikings are knocked out of the playoffs.
Wait.
Farve is still playing in the NFL????
WTF
Gee, I am glad this got resolved before Christmas. Now I can get back to putting Brett Favre related lyrics to all of my favorite Christmas songs.
We wish you a Merry Favremass
We wish you a Merry Favremass
We wish you a Merry Favremass
and a Super Bowl Championship in 2010
Favre lyrics to other Christmas songs to follow:
“Brett Favre we have Heard on High”
“Joy to the Geezer”
“Hark the Harold Brett Favre Returns”
“I’m Dreaming of a Purple Favremass”
Holmgren had issues with Favre doing the same thing in the 90′s. Favre has always been this way.
Bud Light presents, Real Men of Genius.
“Real men of geeen-iuss”
Today we salute you Mr. Delusional Vikings Fan.
“Mr. Delusional Vikings faaa-aaan.”
Year after year you boast elite status in a league where you have won exactly as many championships as the Houston Texans.
“The trophy case is empty.”
Your team is the scavenger of the division, picking from rival team’s cast offs and left overs to build a comptetive team for yourselves.
“Can the Packers afford to re-sign Collins?”
Ridden with bad PR and a history of scandal, in one loud voice you retort with “Hey Ted, thanks for Brett.”
“$50 bucks for a hummer on the love boo-ooat”
Failing to win big games, even when fielding good teams, you are the laughing stock of the league.
“Jamal Anderson and the dirty bird.”
So crack open a cold Bud Light, Mr. Delusional Vikings Fan, and remember, you’re already listed as the favorite to play in SB XLV in the St Paul Pioneer Press.
“Mr. Delusional Vikings faaaa-aaaaaan.”
Bottom line: QB’s and coaches butt heads all the time. Favre and Holmgren’s interactions both on the sidelines and behind the scenes make this episode look like a tea party.
——————————————-
That’s exactly right. Holmgren actually stood up to Favre and dictated what was going on. There is no question who was in charge in Green Bay when Holmgren was coaching.
Favre won the faceoff the minute Chilly picked him up at the airport and everybody acted like Favre just changed his mind and decided to play and it had nothing to do with skipping OTA’s and training camp.
That sort of thing really rankles a team, to put one player above the others (or in this case, right behind the head coach while he bends over)
This is not going to end well no matter how much the BIQUEEN fans attempt to convince themselves this is not a real problem.
Wow…talk about making something out of nothing. Funny how all the Pats fans think the Moss and Thoma story werent stories, but they dont mind jumping on Favre…HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH PLEASE….if Favre was still in GB and this was going on you Viking fans would be blowing up this website and your moms computers..give it a rest already.
Hmm, your winning 7-6 with a first ballot HOF’r at QB. You try to take him out and you expect him to go “yea sure great”. Chilly is an Idiot!
Favre has definitely lost some luster here in the past three years but HE definitely should have told chilly to stfu and sit down. As they continue to lose the power may shift back into chilly’s camp but by then who CARES!
Since he’s likely not going to get a career-capping ring this season, Favre isn’t going away any time soon. The off-season will be filled with “will he or won’t he?” come-back stories. The indecision of his majesty will effectively prevent the Vikings from making any moves at the QB position.
Favre will ultimately try to force Chilly’s firing, pushing for Bevell’s installation as head coach. He won’t win – the locker room will pipe up & get behind Chilly. Favre will ultimately refuse to play and will demand a release from his contract, which he may or may not get. If he does, he’ll then learn the hard, cold reality – no other team wants him.
But don’t cry for Brett. He’ll still get what he really wants. Brett Favre will get to sit up at night with his Tivo, listening to sportscaster after sportscaster trot out and talk about how “great” his Favreness is.
Brett Favre, the great misunderstood messiah.
Brett is great. Brett is great. Brett is great.
Once again Lord Florio is making ASSumptions that are not based in fact.
WTG Florio, NBC must really be proud of you and the hits you generate by posting absolute crap and creating controversy about certain players only!
Since many of my posts criticizing Lord Florio somehow are lost in cyberspace, wonder if this one will get thru?????
If Favre says it, it must be true. This guy never says something he doesn’t mean!
Chilly, I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very contract that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it.
I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a ball, and run a play. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to.
Now go get me some gatorade then make yourself scarce. I have a gameplan to put together.
Favre will lead us to the SB. Childress….shut up and get out of the way.
GO VIKES!!

———————————
LOL yeah we can’t sleep at night. Boo hoo! Who cares at this point? Brag all you want about beating us and winning the division. You guys gotta feel good about winning something. Considering you’ve never won a superbowl, division titles are all you can shoot for.
If we get another crack at you in the playoffs and beat you, you’ll never wanna come back on this site ever again because Packer fans will be burying you in our glory and how your two wins against us don’t mean shit anymore. If you beat us, well then good for you. You were clearly the better team this year. But its any given sunday, and anything can happen.
PFT, ESPN, and everybody else in sports media cries because once again you have blown something out of proportion and there is no story.
Bucc19
I will use Favre and Elway in the same sentence…. Elway was a much bigger bitch than Favre will ever be…..
Favre never did anything like refuse to play for the team that drafted him. That would be like Favre refusing to play for the Jets because he didn’t want to.
Same reason I will NEVER respect Eli Manning
this is a non issue and just prooves how gay the media is for making something out of nothing!
suck my balls espn and start showing real stories and not hyping only who you want to.
___________________
That’s very funny. Calling out the media for being gay and then asking the all male ESPN to suck your balls.
The true test if this situation is squashed is how the Vikings play on Monday Night. If they’re back to form and spank the Bears, then everything will be back to normal.
However, if they play like its Sunday night on NBC, then the season might be over for the Vikings. This will be a real sign that the Vikings are in trouble, and this now public spat between Brett and his coach will become a full blown “schism”. In this weakened state, they are easy prey for whoever wins the Wild card round of the playoffs.
As for Favre having no respect for Childress, let me point out that no one on the entire Viking roster has any respect for him. If you ever watch a mic’d up, you’ll see the players don’t listen to a word he says, like he’s some weird Uncle who just got back from Vietnam and is having flashbacks. And then when you see how they play versus what Chilly says he told them in postgame interviews, and they never follow his direction. He’s great for personnel decisions and football knowledge, but no one on the Vikings takes him seriously as their HEAD coach, so its not fair to separate Brett for that.
This story is tired and worn-out! Let’s talk about how the MV running offense has disappeared. Let’s talk how the Vikings should play tougher defense against the run and how about keeping the other team’s defense on the field for at least 9 minutes of every quarter!
I am not interested in this Dick got down with Jane soap opera journalism…that’s why I listen to NFL Serious Blitz on Sirius radio….real topics for real sportz fans!!
Schism Part II isn’t resolved until the media says it is resolved Brett!

I agree with you, and dont forget to remember this Packer fans, when the Pack knock the Vikes out of the first round because now they have a o-line boys and girls, the ultimate payback for Packer fans… it’s coming part III better hope you idiots (Vikes) play the Eagles in round 1!!!!
GO STEELERS!
“myasylum says:

If by “issues” you mean winning one SB and being a defense stopping Terrell Davis away from winning another, than the Vikings should be thrilled to have those “issues”.
“It is resolve”
Brett will call all the plays here on out and will wear the ridiculous microphone Chilly wears under his helmet so he can talk to himself….then Brett will run the route and catch his own passes…he will also be responsible for all PAT’s…Whatever…Who cares about the Vikes and Lord Farve…they are maybe 3rd or 4th best in the NFC….
When Brad & Brett go to sleep tonight…Brett better keep one eye open…Childress might go all Loraina Bobbit on him!
———————————————-
Couldn’t have said it better myself!!
Dear Favre,
Baby will you be my corona and lime.
And I will be your main squeeze.
I had an argument wiith my wife last week. Guess that means our marriage is in trouble.
This is a non story made bigger than it is by ESPN trying to hype up next Monday Night’s game when you know who is playing.
ahem, haven’t we seen this movie before? Farve starts the season hot and cools off at the end. Vikes will be eliminated soon enough from the playoffs. Unfortunately, this is exactly when the Vikes need a strong coach.
What do you think he was going to say? BF is the most dishonest person in pro-football next to Belichek. There is plenty more to come and I for one can’t wait to see the train wreck unfold!
After watching the entire 19 minute interview with Favre, I can say that this is much ado about nothing. Favre said it was “resolved”, and that he and Childress had a brief discussion Monday morning, and are moving on. So why can’t Olbermann, I mean Florio ??? Oh yeah, the more bogus posts he puts up about this non-story, the more clicks he gets on his web site, and thus a few more bucks in his back pocket, so he’s doing it solely for his own financial gain. Gosh, what is it they call women that will do anything you want for money ???
Florio is such an incredible phony – even going as far as to suggest on Paul Allen’s radio show yesterday that Childress should want Favre to “get hurt” (Florio’s words), in order for Childress to save some face. Geez, what an ass you are Florio. And earlier Florio admitted he has Favre on his fantasy football team, so not only is Florio an ass and a phony, but he’s also a hypocrite as well. Oh, NOWWWW I see why he likes Keith Uber-moron … Olbie is his idol !
Hey Florio (or any poster here for that matter) please you name another Head Coach that would try to take out his star quarterback in that situation, with a 7-6 lead in the third quarter, and everything the Queens had on the line in that game in terms of a possible #1 seed in the playoffs, staving off the Eagles so they wouldn’t be a #3 seed, etc. ???
And b.) Please name another quarterback that would just willingly go sit on the bench in that situation if asked to do so ???
As a lifelong Packers fan I hate the Queens, but, I believe, the answers are none, and none.
So ESPN is hyping this non-story too, in order to drum up interest in what should be a yawner of a MNF game (all in the interest of making more money), gosh that’s shocking. SHOCKING !!!!
That would be like Favre refusing to play for the Jets because he didn’t want to.
Which is EXACTLY what he did… I’am going to retire,,can you release me? I “am done, I’am retired..oh can you release me?” whatever.
Of course when they call it “the situation” they’re clearly referring to Brett Favre’s abs.
packers and their fans are dumb they should not talk or breathe or breed…blame your front office for the reason you even care about any Brett Favre story since if he was still with your team none of this would matter
Florio “He also said that the situation has been “blown out of proportion,” but what else would he say?”
———————–
Oh yeah, because there’s just NO WAY you and the media have blown this out of proportion, right Olbermann, I mean Florio.
And CERTAINLY not in the search of the almight buck. Riiiiiiiiiight Florio. Sure, I believe you ! The media NEVER blows anything out of proportion.
plenty of time to get back on course prior to the playoffs!
in the words of my manic bi-polar boss who doesn’t takes his meds:
WHAT THE HELL DO I CARE??! FIGURE IT OUT, GET IT DONE!
” Nothing to see here. Move along. Nothing happening here. Keep moving. Nothing to see, no story here, move along.”
Isn’t that what they say at a wreck site?
now i feel totally relieved that i havent watched ESPN in almost 4 yrs
worse than watching Gossip Girl with my 33 yr old girlfrend
It always starts out this way with BF ………. Just ask Jet Fans ……… Just ask Packer Fans………. You can dismiss the incident all you want but believe me, it’s only the beginning of the end….. There’s always more …….. The BF history dictates that this smoke will soon turn into fire.
Enough with all the Favre stories Florio. This whole thing between him and his coach has been blown way out of proportion. Suggestion, how about not making every other story on here about Favre (we’ll get enough of those in the offseason). another suggestion…how about you talk about my Sorry ASS Bears?
I seem to recall a playoff game in which Payton Manning told coach Dungy not to send in the punt team and go for it on 4th down. This is what goes on in the heat of battle between the General on the sideline and the one on the field. He was thinking of asking Favre if he wanted to come out , since he was getting roughed up. You guys would have had something to print had Favre came out of the game, ie quitting on his team when the going gets tough. He is in it to win it. That simple. The onus is on the O-line for not protecting him.
All is well because Favre got his way! Did coaches and owners forget that there are 53 other men on that roster.
someone_smarter_than_you , that was the post of the year. Real men of Genius indeed.
packers and their fans are dumb they should not talk or breathe or breed…blame your front office for the reason you even care about any Brett Favre story since if he was still with your team none of this would matter
Ummm , it’s not just Packer fans doing the hatings, it’s ALL fans. We find it so luaghable that you Vike fans are defending the man you complety shat on and bitched ,whined and cried about for 17 years..makes you all look so desperate, and you wrong, if he was still with GB you Viking fans would be wearing out broadbands all over the nation to get you hate vomit comments. The Packer fans really don’t care, they are not the ones laughing on here, it’s the rest of us who are, leave them out of it.
This is the FOCKING best! This is like watching the 2007 packers all over again. The vikes will most likely finish as a way overrated 12-4 or 13-3 and end up watching the old man piss away the post season again. Real-comfortable-jeans. Ha! Gotta run….gonna go take a Brett and wipe my Deanna.
Well, if the last two years have taught us anything is that we can trust whatever Brett Favre says.
For all the effort that goes into fabricating these stories, I rarely find a payoff. I understand the media tends to take advantage of an “unwitting” public, but you’d think the masses would catch on by now. Then again, this is the same Joe Public that elected a complete buffoon as president.
(sarcasm) I mean, who are these players and coaches to discuss strategies throughout the course of a game, ya know???
Chuck Norris resolves most issues with a long, hard stare.
If the Vikings don’t find some help for their LT, Chilly won’t have to worry about benching his 40 year old, HGH propped up QB. Somebody’s roided up DL or LB will do it for him.
This whole story line has distracted everyone from the real issue. The Vikings are having a real problem keeping the Messiah on his feet.
“”He also said that the situation has been “blown out of proportion,” but what else would he say?”
Nonsense!!! What could be a bigger story than an NFL player wanting to stay in a close game? Or a coach yelling??? These are groundbreaking posts here, folks. Groundbreaking.
What the hell???
No one asked Brent how much he fined Childress?
Emoney,
Funny how you bring up how Carolina had Delhomme’s backup playing, when GB lost to Tampa with their third string, rookie QB making his first NFL start. Plus, Carolina had 5 wins before beating the Vikes, the Bucs had 0.
And did we have a Chuck Woodson sighting on this post. After talking all that trash last week, only to look like a fool, I didn’t figure he would ever return. Maybe he was hoping 3 days would be long enough to forget how stupid he was.
Storys done. We’ll kick the sh*t out of Chicago on Monday, then all will be forgotton, sorry bitter Packer fans but this light you all saw with this *schism* brewin is gone…..
The biggest thing that comes out of this is the fact Viking fans don’t care for Chilly to begin with. We’ve been calling for him to be canned for the past three years. So he’s making Ziggy look like a complete jackass foir extending his contract. He’s lucky to have a job. PERIOD.

That has got to be one of the five funniest posts I’ve seen on here. Brilliant.
The situation is certainly not resolved. Favre is just going to do as he darn well pleases and that probably means the Vikings chances of a Super bowl just ended. This guy needs to listen to his coach. He needs to run the plays he is given and most of all he needs to rest that old shoulder of his, but nobody can tell this old hard headed fool anything. Yeah, he will go into the hall of fame, and he should, but the fact is Favre has been his own worst enemy. If Favre hadn’t been a one man show over the years he would have won 5 or 6 super bowls instead of the ones he did win. I predict he does poorly in the playoffs because his shoulder needs rest, but he is to stubborn to admit it. And he tends to pull ignorant plays out of his back pocket at the worst possible moment when he should just run the play the coach gave him. So I think he will run the team into the ground in the playoffs. So what we have now is Favre as player, coach and general manager.
Does it really matter?
Lets just play football, and see what happens.
Winning will resolve it.
Man , this site is going downhill, 1/2 the post people make are not seeing the light of day on here.
Florio, what’s up? You are going to start losing customers……
Somebody has to explain the CURRENT anti-BF nonsence. The guy has carried the team this year – on his friggin’ back. Would the anti-BF guys answer this question; Where the hell has AD been the last 6 weeks? Why didn’t Chilly bench him? Brett has had to check off and throw it. Have you been watching the games, I have?
“packers and their fans are dumb they should not talk or breathe or breed…blame your front office for the reason you even care about any Brett Favre story since if he was still with your team none of this would matter…”
Turdf*ck…..if Brett Favre wasn’t on your team…you clowns would even be at or around .500….and no we wouldn’t be. I don’t dream for Christmas morning, for fast cars, or loose women….(your Mom says “Hi” by the way. I long for the minutes , hours, and days following your team in their throw-back dark pink jerseys getting 1 and done bounced and then reading every one of you bandwagon dicks’ excuses like blaming the loss on the refs, a slick ball or that smelly homo with the horns on his head. Then….we can all wait for 3 or 4 years for you queens to shine around again when you climb back into the mix. Win a LOMBARDI and we’ll all shut the f#ck up. ‘Til then…do your part.
Remember when Peyton Manning told Dungy to piss off. He stayed on the field instead of listening to coach. I guess Favre is just more hated by Flo.
coaches & QB’s do butt heads at times, but the story becomes the player UNDERMINING his head coach, …and Chilly lost that battle the day he went to pick up Farve in his SUV, allowing him to skip OTAs and training camp…Farve is a selfish a##hole, his track record the last two years in Green Bay & New York, speak to that, so Chilly shouldn’t be suprised by any of this…Sounds like a SCHISM to me
IF this was TO doing the shit Farve was doing, EVERY ESPN annoucer, and every other Farve apologist in the media would be burying him for undermining his head coach, when Farve pulls his shit, it’s him being COMPETETIVE, when TO does something he’s being…

Childress just needs to go Tonya Harding on Nancy Favre and end this drama now.
_____________
Kind of like Bernard Pollard went Tonya Harding on Cindy Brady last year and ended the lame ass drama after your team CHOKED in the Super Bowl and all of you pussy Pats fans thought that the Pats were gonna avenge themselves? LMFAO!!!!!
Reading all these Pro,and Con texts on the Vikings, and Brett Favre.Proves that there are other NFL Team fans!I have been a Vikes fan since 1969,They like every other Team in the league have had their problems with Players and Coaches,So stow all your condemnations and criticizm and let the Teams and the Stats show who wins and loses. There are a lot of teams I don’t like aswell,But being argumenative and nasty only proves that having an open mind is not for everbody!

Chuck Norris resolves most issues with a long, hard stare.

This wasn’t funny 3 years ago when it 1st came out. What makes you think being a copycat years later would make it any funnier?
Lack of anything to say about football?
How bout you go on your “social network” with this played out crap?
Yeah, yeah, the losses are Favre’s fault.
Put the blame where it is deserved: on Childress.
O-line couldn’t open up holes for Peterson. No running game. O-line couldn’t protect Favre. No passing game. No adjustments by Childress.
Peterson can’t catch the ball and neither can Taylor. There goes the swing and draws. and hot reads against blitzes.
How many dropped balls by receivers in the losses?
How many drives killed by holding when Favre did have them driving?
This is coaching not Favre’s play.
