Biceps injury leaves James Harrison questionable

After not showing up on the injury report for Wednesday or Thursday, Steelers linebacker James Harrison was a surprise addition on Friday, missing practice with a biceps injury.

He’s officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Ravens.

As to two other Steelers, there’s no question as to their availability — they won’t be playing.

As expected, safety Troy Polamalu (knee) and guard Chris Kemoeatu (wrist) are out.

Receiver Hines Ward (hamstring) is probable, as is running back Rashard Mendenhall (hip) and receiver Mike Wallace (knee).

    LAxer37….
Finally someone who understands and watches Steeler football.. it’s a disgrace how they hold him on EVERY play.. Just because your the NFL denfensive player of the year…gives other players no right to hold the guy on every play!!

    In Bens tender, rapey arms.

He hurt it one of two ways: Arm wrestling with his Mom or during one of his flops when he can’t beat his man when rushing the Q.B.

    FLOPPERS NEVER GET CALLS

He ACTS like he gets held on every play. The refs have wisened up to him.

Is Steeler Nation still calling for a return to the glory days of scoring 13-17 ppg running the ball, or have they shut their pieholes after big bens 500 last week? I mean that had to make them sick to their stomachs, what these guys, Tomlin and Arians, have done to shame steeler tradition. Who do they think they are anyway? Cowher ran the ball for fifteen years and won what, 3 or 4 superbowls, these suckas have only coached a couple and won 1. (SARCASM)

    darrius_heyward-bey-butterfingers,
yeah you’re right, the 2008 Steelers had an unstoppable offense thanks to Arians. Going 15-4 last season had nothing to do with Lebeau and one of the greatest defenses to ever play the game (SARCASM)
And yeah you’re right, I’d have a torn biceps with all of the LTs pulling my arms back when I’m clearly past them. It’s a travesty how many non-holds Harrison gets.

I think it’s hilarious that Stealers fans complain about mom-beater getting held all the time, especially considering their interior offensive linemen practically tore Green Bay’s nose tackle’s shirt off on the game-winning play last weekend. Nobody gets more non-calls in their favor than the Rusty City. Give it up!

  11. DanRooney says: Dec 26, 2009 4:51 AM

Macadamia: Held shirt? Hahahaha. James Harrison was held by the throat the entire game. It’s a stranglehold move that everyone we play seems to get away with and you’re talking about a jersey. Cool stuff.

the people who like to complain that the steelers get all the calls need to turn off the espn, and stop having their opinions whizzinator fed to them by skip bayless…

Harrison will play, and he’ll have his usual solid game. Dude’s tough as nails.

i think its hilarious that other nfl teams do not have as many superbowl wins as the steelers! i think its also funny when you see more steelers fans in opposing teams stadiums! i think that other teams fans can go suck eggs!

@ Jungle Juice – Go drink Ocho’s jungle juice in the locker room and get a freakin’ dose of reality, you non-faithful, POS, bengirls fan.
When your jealousy and envy (as with all of your other fair weathered, cockroach brain fans) of the Steelers franchise ends, perhaps you’ll turn into a real fan and respect the fact that the Bengals franchise has sucked for more nearly all of the past 4 decades (excluding what 5-7 years out of nearly 40)? Enjoy this year, it could be the last one for another 10 or so JA.
STFU and go get your meth fix in OTR — loser.

There was actually a report on this ,Harrison spoke to the refs and they said as long as his feet are out in front .they wont call it holding.. but if hes behind they will. its bullshit. Eventhe commentary FINALLY noted it last week that Harrison is the most held player in the league!

  17. Steelers-R-Gay says: Dec 27, 2009 6:39 AM

Boo-hoo. Harrison gets held on every play. Stop crying Shitsburg fans. I know it is hard knowing that there will be no playoff football for you inbred, hills have eyes hillbillys to watch with your mother/sister this year.
