The W-L record Favre had at Lambeau when the weather was below freezing is a thing of the past. For the past few years, Favre's been much better in good weather, especially indoors. I think it's important for the Vikings chances to advance to secure home field for as many games as possible. NO plays indoor as well, and they can't catch NO anyway. But I don't see the Vikings winning at Philadelphia, or at GB again, in January.

As a Vikings fan I must say the thought of playing the Packers in the playoffs is a little scary. You never know with division games like that, and as hard as it is to beat a team twice in one year, it's harder to beat one 3 times, especially one thta is playing fairly well at the moment. I think we would win, but you just never know with these types of games.

Pdub1970 says:
Philly - Scary team...will lose in the 2nd round at Minnesota (if the game would be in Philly, I'd be worried)...the Philly/Minnesota game will be one to watch...should be well played. Philly will lose because of back-to-back beatdowns of the Cowboys make them think they are better than they really are.

I respect your opinion obviously mine defers. I think the Eagles have just as good a chance of beating the Vikings in Minnesota as they do at home. First off Childress cant beat Reid. He seems to have a brain block against him or maybe he just hasn't learned anything new since leaving philly so Andy knows exactly what hes going to do. Secondly Reid also has Farve's number. Look at the Packers record with Farve against the Eagles since Reids been there during the regular season and playoffs its not good. Andy Reid was Farve's qb coach and knows exactly how to exploit him.
You add Reid's extensive knowledge of the Vikings Leader(Farve) and his beotch (Chilly as he would say) plus his history in the early rounds of the playoffs (9-2 in wildcard/divisional rounds) and thats a bad mix for the Vikings.
And thats only talking about what Andy brings to the table. I didnt even get into what our players can do.

@pdub1970: very interesting stuff, but week 17 is philadelphia @ dallas.
cards: everyone thought the cards would be one and done last year...not suggesting, just saying
philly (my team, keep in mind): was confident they would go all the way, but without jackson ive got my doubts...still that defense is a brick wall when it needs to be and mcnabb is finally playing clutch
minny: when it comes down to it, its reid vs childress. and childress hasnt quite become darth vader to andy reids obi wan yet, no matter how good his team is.
pack: if they play minny, its a guaranteed one and done, but if not theyve got a shot...but its still not very likely.
cowboys: whats their record in the playoffs?
saints: those 'almost losses' are still wins, but they start looking much worse followed by 'actual losses'
eagles defeat chargers, 24-14, ive already called it before

Well, here's a die-hard, life-long Cowboys fan who won't mention past Super Bowls. If you want to have a discussion about franchise histories, fine, let's do that, but most folks care about this year. This year, no one's won a Super Bowl or a championship, and that's what matters.
Do I think the Cowboys will beat the Eagles this week in Dallas? Yes. Do I think the Cowboys will win the NFC title? No. That will be the Eagles. The 'Boys will get the regular-season sweep, just as they did against the Giants a few years ago. Then, when they met the Giants again in the playoffs, we all saw what happened. That's how I expect it to go down this year.

Lets break down the NFC real quick (I'll preface this by telling you I'm a Viking season ticket holder)
Saints - 2 straight loses at home, could easily have lost 4 of last 5...will be 1 and done
Packers - Peaking at the right time but do they have enough talent? Maybe next year, probably a third round exit (should beat Cardinals and Saints)
Cowboys - Nice stadium...lose week 17 and 1st round to the same team, same venue.
Cardinals - not enough majic left from last year...one and done.
Minnesota - limping in a little (mainly due the loss of their all pro middle linebacker), will get it together...beat Philly in the Divisional and laugh their way through the Packers (8 sacks again?). Will battle it out with the Chargers for Vince's hardware.

@Jeff- It was not all Favre's fault when he choked in the playoffs. It's also not all because of Favre that the Packers had success.
To apologists like "Fan of Favre," when they lost, it was the team's fault. When they won, Favre willed them to victory. I can understand it from the few Wisconsinites that still cling to the glory years and worship Favre. I can't understand it from Vikings fans. You were 10-6 and won the division last year without him right?

Dunno if it would be better for the vikes to slide to wildcard weekend so we can beat the packers outta the playoffs there, or if one should cheer for the packers to advance a round or 2 and have the vikes knock them out of the playoffs then.
At the start of the year i figured playing the pack a 3rd time would be poison, but know it looks like a great matchup, and one that the vikes would dominate, simply because you would see favre play at the highest level that he EVER has.
pack will be one and done, vikes look built to make a VERY deep run, hopefully to miami.

Ah, so we hear from the ultimate Favre jock sniffer. Can't handle that the Packers made it to the playoffs, so he reverts to this BS. The truth be told, look at Favre's playoff stats from 2001 on and you will understand why the Packers cut ties with Favre, they were sick of being one and done with a choke artist under center.
====================
Why is at all on Favre when they lost? Yet when the packers lose now it's not Rodgers fault it's a team game?
You are a life loser.
You sound like a guy who would shit in the top part of the toilet to me.
