Dolphins fear Crowder has Lisfranc fracture

Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder definitely won’t be on the field for Sunday’s regular-season finale after suffering a foot injury against the Texans, and he may have a very difficult off-season ahead of him.

Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel reports that the Dolphins fear that Crowder suffered a Lisfranc injury similar to the one that ended Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown’s season.

Brown underwent surgery last month to repair a Lisfranc fracture.

Although the Dolphins haven’t said what the results of Crowder’s MRI were, a Lisfranc fracture could require months to heal and potentially limit Crowder into training camp in 2010.
