I don't agree with this refund BS, but PLEASE, no one put a gun to your head to buy tickets to see a team that you KNEW played crap football.
STFU.
That's right. Given your logic, how many teams would have had half-full stadiums this year, 10-12?
I can only assume that 'your team' is always the one that's in first place. True fans buy tickets to support their team, regardless of how lousy they're playing.
Further, I would suggest that if you're reading this site, you understand how passionate football fans are. To abandon your team is shameful.
Shame on you.

The starters played into the 3rd quarter. This entire argument for "refund" and "getting your money's worth" is a truckload full of bull to make the message sound better.
The reality is the starters only missed just over a quarter of play. You can challenge the coach's decision all you want, but crying foul for money's worth? Give me a break.
Don't buy season tickets next year if you're so damn adamant. Put your money where your mouth is.

I said that right after the game if I payed for a ticket I would be furious looking for a refund.
Its a lil far fetched to think they will actually give their money back.
I think what makes more sense is if the Colts and other teams set-up away for fans who bought season tickets or single game tickets early in the season to sell the tickets back to the team BEFORE the game starts in the final 2 weeks of the season.
You never know when you buy tickets before the season if your teams is gonna basically forfeit the final couple games b/c their already in the playoffs.
Now this should only be available to teams that have already clinched a playoff spot. You shouldnt be able to sell your tickets back b/c your team sucks. Also it this should only be available for fans who bought their tickets before a certain date.
Because no one should be complaining about this if they bought their tickets when the Colts were 10-0. What did they think was going to happen?

I think all of us citizens deserve a refund for all of these politicians sticking their noses in our sports. We turn to sports to get away from politics, not the other way around. Retired or not, stay the hell away from football. You idiots have already wasted enough time, energy and tax dollars on steroids in baseball and now have the audacity to challenge a private organization on their business practices? What a joke.
Go print more monopoly money to feed and cloth the rest of the world while ignoring the poor and downtrodden in our own country you tool!

I want to pass a law that no advertising ever be allowed on Peyton Manning's forehead! As much as it IS a great idea and tons of money could be made, I think it would cheapen the game.
I think it is ridiculous that he wants to sell space on that thing by the square inch. He is such a sell-out

basedrum777, moron.........when is the last time Manning has been hurt in a game??????
The Colts rested more than just Manning. If they had replaced Painter with Manning and kept everything else the same, the result would have been the same. The Colts should be ashamed for putting Painter out there with a patch-work team. The defense stunk as well as the offense!
Manning has proven that he is most effective when playing consistently.

Just ridiculous! What do you Indianapolis fans prefer, a chance at a perfect regular season or a chance at a Superbowl victory?
Coach Caldwell's job is to take his team to the Superbowl and if he beleives the best avenue for that is to rest up his players then that is his perogitive as head coach. There was no guarantee on your tickets that the starting players would play all 4 quarters, and even if they had there is still no guarantee that they would have won.

straverse- Al Gore is a political scam artist. His 'business' successes were enabled by leveraging far-left political ideology to create a new 'business' model, 'carbon credits', from the junk science of global warmalism. He's used fear mongering and scare tactics to create new wealth for himself. He is truly a misanthrope who really wants to see Earth's population cut by 2/3rds, but was afraid of the backlash that would result from those statements. So, Al Gore embraced his Nobel-winning new methodology for achieving the same results, without paying a price for having said so.

actually Manning is BELOW average in the playoffs. 7-8 is BELOW .500. and the Lolts certainly DID CHEAT to get into the SB. they have been caught pumping in fake crowd noise for years, disrupting opposing teams offenses. they also admitted to cranking up the heat in the stadium and locker room in the playoffs when they found out the Pats all were dehydrated and had the flu. even more, Polian has had to change the rules to get into the playoffs.... now you tell me who the cheats are.....

golongboyee...how can you say the Colts shouldn't have been 14-0? The last time I checked, there were 60 minutes in a game. And, the last time I checked, the Colts had more points on the board than their opponents in those 14 games. I think that means, if I understand football rules, that they won those games.
Some teams make their mistakes at the front of the game and some make them at the end. It all comes into play at the end. There's no rules that state you must make your stupid mistakes in the first half! The team with the most points at the end wins.
Squeakers don't mean they shouldn't have won. It just means it was competitive at that time.
Every team across the league has had close wins.

Beurt SerVaas is a Republican. All successful businessmen are Republicans. Because Democrats care more about pandering to loser-looters and buying the looter vote with Other People's Money, seldom do they have need to learn the skillsets necessary to make their own money. Why should they, when they can win with the votes of the needy masses who always want something for nothing?

I find it irrevelant that someone thinks the Pats are irrelevant. First, I need to know what irrevelant means. I am sure it must be bad. If there is one deniable fact? Doesn't that mean the Pats' cheating can be denied as opposed to not denied? Now, they are off the hook.
Has anyone considered the Colts wanted the Jets to win on purpose? I know it is a reach of a theory, but the Jets are less of a threat in the post-season to the Colts than the Steelers or Ravens. Perhaps, it is a bit far-fetched, but most stories here are exactly that.

The Colts shouldn't have been 14-0 to begin with. They are good but they are not THAT good. They benefitted from beating the odds and a lot of luck. They should be about 11-4 right now at best anyway. The hard truth is, odds ALWAYS catch up.....and guess where these odds WILL catch up with them......the playoffs. You can only beat the odds for so long!

What fan wants their team to intentionally not win a game? It's crazy, it defies all logic. Besides, what evidence is there that resting starters, especially when you already have home field advantage, actually helps you win the SB?
The Colts have already lost something precious, something much more rare than a Super Bowl win.
Now, even if they win the Super Bowl, fans everywhere will be thinking, "what if?" After a SB win, looking back to one and a quarter easy games away from perfection will haunt the team forever.
In supposedly helping themselves toward their goal of a SB, the team has already made it a hollow victory, even if it comes. And after this week, who will have more hunger for it--the Colts, Chargers, or Patriots?
The Colts leadership has given the team one message this last week: we don't trust you to win it all. You're not good enough, not strong enough, you're weak and need protecting.
The Chargers and Patriots are getting much different messages, I bet.
