Ochocinco: Lewis said Bengals will play whole game

In an otherwise hilarious conference call with the New York media Wednesday, Chad Ochocinco may have unintentionally broke a little news.  But probably not.

“I swear to God, I called Coach [Marvin] Lewis from after Sunday’s game
to this point at least 20 times,” Ochocinco said.  “I asked him the same question, ‘Coach,
please don’t get me excited. How much are we playing?’ He gave me that
little giggle and then he said, ‘We’re playing the whole game. We’re
playing to win.’”

Ochocinco won’t be amused if Lewis takes a different approach after a week of hyping Sunday’s matchup against Darrelle Revis.

“I said, ‘OK. Now if you get me excited and you try to
pull me out of the game,” Ochocinco said.  “I’m not coming out.”

What Lewis says to Ochocinco doesn’t necessarily indicate what he’s planning to do. Lewis sounds like a parent who just says something to get his kid to be quiet.

The Bengals team website wonders if Carson Palmer will even take a snap, especially if the team has no chance at the third seed in the AFC.  (More on that later.) The Cincinnati Enquirer also expects the Bengals to rest.

No matter Lewis told Ochocinco on the phone.

Ochocinco also said that Lewis kind of giggled which Chad said meant something was wrong. Like you said, he told Chad whatever he had to hear to get him off the phone at 4 in the morning. Wouldn’t you?

Now you have Lamar Woodley saying that the Bengals will lay down because they are scare of letting the Steelers into the playoffs because they will be a dangerous team. Oh, isn’t that adorable? Lamar thinks that there are teams in this league that are scared of his team… He’s almost like a two year old only he didn’t triple dog dare the Bengals to help get the Steelers into the playoffs. Ah, it’s so cute when the lil kids get desperate.
What else is humorous is that the week leading up to the Bengals-Steelers rematch, Lamar commented that the Bengals celebrated after the week 3 win like they had just won the Super Bowl. Someone needs to get this guy some psychiatric help, his delusions of grandeur are multiplying by the day. “We were their super bowl, they’re scared of letting us in the playoffs.” Seriously, please enjoy your offseason without so many bitter tears.

Palmer & co will rest….but they better leave Chad in or face a meltdown…which would be a huge distraction the week they’re trying to get ready for a playoff game….hopefully a Jets rematch.
