Cecil fined $20,000 for verbal abuse

Titans defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil was reportedly yelling at his coaching staff on a headset when he was fined 15 yards against the Chargers.

If that’s true, the incident has turned into a costly misunderstanding.

The NFL fined Cecil $20,000 for verbally abusing officials according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen. So, the Titans year in review for fines: Two birds cost $250,000, and yelling at your coaching staff costs $20,000. 

Now we really want to know what Cecil said.

    LOL, Chuck Cecil is ‘da Man. Back in the day, it seemed like every game he was sporting a bloody nose from the punishment he delivered as a safety.

    Check Cecil was a dirty player who specialized in late hits. Of course, maybe they were always late because he was so slow. A safety with normal speed would have made the hits within allowable parameters.

    It must have been rough being smoked for the 5th time but the Chargers. It hurts to get outclassed like that. I feel bad for him.

    It seems almost all these errors (lack of proof reading) come from Gregg Rosenthal. I don’t know him, and no offense, but where is the pride in one’s work?
