If Sunday marks the end of Eric Mangini’s head coaching career in the NFL, at least he’s going out with a smile.
His Cleveland Browns have won three straight games and are slight favorites to beat the Jaguars. He even seems relaxed at his daily press conferences.
On Thursday, Mangini was asked if he had a New Year’s resolution. At first, he said he had a few hours to come up with one. The crowd asked for him to let them know if he came up with one.
WIth that, Mangini laughed and pretended to write a note.
“Dear guys,” he said, “No bus rides to Hartford.”

“Eric Magnini” Is that like Chuck Cecil getting fined 15 yards?
Hilarious. I was hoping he’d challenge Florio to a fight but this will do.
lose some weight man … your long time health is at risk
Mangini vs. Florio… No contest. Mangini wins.
How about a 12-round, bare-fisted fight between Mangini and former Kansas coach Mangino – on top of a bus headed for Hartford – and full of screaming nuns wearing Tom Brady jerseys.
Now… that’s a resolution to keep.
That is faux douchebag sense of humor.
Mangini will replace Cable…..
I wish Mangini only the best for 2010 – anywhere but with the Browns.
inappropriate arrogance is the mangini tagline. he defines putz. that said the brownies are beating some teams albeit crappy ones. holmgren has some bullets in his gun, not sure now is the time to fire
