Vick probable for Sunday showdown

When the Eagles face the Cowboys in Week 17 game that will have a huge impact on the NFC playoff seeding, they’ll likely have at their disposal the change-of-pace quarterback who in recent appearances has been generating touchdowns, for a change.

Quarterback Mike Vick, who didn’t practice last week with a quad injury, didn’t play against the Broncos, and missed practice on Wednesday, is listed as probable.

Vick fully participated in practice on Thursday and Friday.

Coach Andy Reid said that Vick will be the backup quarterback on Sunday, and that he could play.  “Yeah, he could,” Reid said.  “He’s feeling good.  He practiced today.  We have a couple things in for him.  I look forward to getting him back in there and playing.”

Also probable for the Eagles are receiver Reggie Brown (shoulder), center Nick Cole (knee), safety Quintin Demps (ankle), guard Max Jean-Gilles (ankle), and receiver Jeremy Maclin (foot).

No other Eagles appear on the injury report.  Center Jamal Jackson tore an ACL on Sunday, and he has been placed on injured reserve.

Good, hopefully D. Ware knocks him on his sociopathic backside

    Vick is irrelevant.

Vick is irrelevant, redsquare? Ask the Dallas D if they feel that way? I bet they’ve been preparing to see Mr. Irrelevant. And if they are, as I suspect that is the case, taking prep time away from DeSean, Maclin, Westbrook, McCoy, Celek, and oh, one Donovan McNabb can only spell that he’s very relevant.
But don’t take my word for it though, just ask them.

why is the health of a third string QB worthy of a headline?

Expect to see Vick play the entire 4th quarter after the Eagles have this game locked up by the end of the 3rd.. remember last year when the Cowboys had another critical big game = 44-6.. and dont bring up the earlier game this season with McNabb still recovering from his ribs and Westbrook not even in the game at all.. this game wont even be close

Agreed, I don’t think Vick matters. Just keep him on the sidelines. The Birds do not need to run the wildcat with him, Jackson, or McCoy. Just play well and balanced and then they will win Sunday.
The national media will then rave how they are the team to beat, because they are playing the best ball right now. Their balanced attack could possibly take them to another NFC title game, and then WHAM!!! Throw the ball 5o times, use all of your time outs and they loose to another team they should’ve beaten. As an Eagles fan that’s the pattern that’s been in place for almost a decade now. OH WELL

Remember earlier this season when McNabb was back from an injury and lost to Dallas? Regardless of your excuses for why they lost that game, they lost it in Philly. The home of hostility. Westbrook will get 10 snaps this week and wont matter and Michael Jenkins will blanket DEsean all day long. While I am not going to make these outrageous predictions, I am going to say Dallas wins by less than a TD on a last minute 4th quarter drive. McNabb is Mr. Choke and he will choke, again as Dallas get’s that 44-6 garbage (which isnt relevant this season) and December off their backs.

Apologies for your disrespect will be promptly delivered by the bandwagoneers of the losing side, no hiding in the witless protection program for two weeks!

How many superbowls has Philly won? ZERO. In fact, Philly is the only team in the NFC East that has not won multiple superbowls. That is why Philly fans always cling to a victory over Dallas….it is their superbowl.

Typical Eagirls fan. You don’t want to talk about any of the games that McNabb and Westbrook weren’t 100%, all you want to talk about is a game that was played a year ago when Romo, Witten and Barber were playing hurt and Felix Jones and Kyle Kosier didn’t play at all. You’re stupid.

Who the hell is Kyle Kosier?……And if he played in that game, it would have made a difference? Really?….I guess if the Eagles lose 44-6 on Sunday, one year later we can say…….Well, we didn’t have Jamaal Jackson….And isn’t it kind of stupid to paste and cut a comment you consider stupid?…Isn’t that the same thing?….

Well if this isn’t calling the kettle black? A typical Dallas fan will always throw in your face the Superbowl Rings which wasn’t even during this decade. To quote Janet Jackson ole Voxie… “What have you done for me lately?”.
A two-game win steak? Seriously? Tis funny because I am sure when the Cowgirls were losing you were in your witness protection program. You probably even deleted your original login from PFT because you figured your team was imploding for the rest of the year. Let’s add a few periods… Your such a tool.
