Brady has broken finger too

It’s not a new injury, but Tom Brady is playing through a broken index finger in addition to his three broken ribs.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed the severity of the finger injury suffered a month ago, saying Brady has been playing through a broken index finger on his throwing hand.

The finger injury reportedly is bothering Brady more than his broken ribs, which were originally suffered in the preseason.  Brady left the locker room Sunday before speaking to the media, which we can’t remember ever happening before.

Even without the Brady injury updates, this Sunday could not have gone much worse for the New England Patriots.

If the index finger injury is a month old, does that mean Billicheat is fudging the injury report again?

In addition to when someone gets close to his knees, now he can look for the ref to throw a flag if somebody hits his finger. Excuses Excuses!

  8. Iron Wolf says: Jan 3, 2010 8:51 PM

Pats are just too beaten down to be much of a threat in the playoffs. Too bad.

  9. redsquare says: Jan 3, 2010 8:53 PM

Geez, this is crazy. I was really looking forward to seeing the Pats fly in under the radar and cause major havoc with the “rested” Colts. Could still happen, but hate to see a major team go into the playoffs with such big issues.

Florio, you really need to add the “ignore poster” feature to the comments section. I’m pretty sure I feel my IQ drop everytime I read a lot of the morons that love to hate on the Pats/Colts. Get over it Jets/Bills/Raiders fans, your teams are not good this year. No need to bitch about the good ones; it won’t win your team any games…

if that was rapistberger he would have notified the media immediately and sat out until he was healthy. Brady has balls.

    Yes.
If they win the Super Bowl, it will be due to this.

He’s been on the injury report for a over a month… moron.
Not that it matters, since it’s the Patriots defense that will choke away any close game in the postseason.

  25. Ravenmaniac says: Jan 3, 2010 9:13 PM

Will this affect his throwing his hand in the air next week trying to solicit a flag against the Ravens?????

Brady has been on the report for shoulder, finger and ribs for weeks. Get a clue about what you’re talking about.

  30. silenceformasses says: Jan 3, 2010 9:27 PM

Scrapdawg, if you don’t like the guy, and don’t care what he has, why did you choose to read the article? Seriously, respond with an answer.
You guys are right, he’s not tough at all. True toughness is commenting, anonymously I might add, on a website.

  31. lezmaka says: Jan 3, 2010 9:33 PM

Don’t forget the bruised labia that causes Brady to ask the refs for a penalty every time someone touches him.

“Brady has been on the report for shoulder, finger and ribs for weeks. Get a clue about what you’re talking about.”
If the broken ribs supposedly happened in the preseason, has that been on the injury report for all 16 games?

  33. artie lange says: Jan 3, 2010 9:39 PM

A dram queen? In what sense? You don’t hear the Pats playing off of this like the Steelers do with their rapist QB.

  34. footballisfun says: Jan 3, 2010 9:47 PM

Really? You guys are calling out a guy’s toughness after he played with a broken finger and broken ribs?…. Not that he left with some broken bones… he played with broken bones and people are calling out his toughness?
The guy didn’t even have anything to play for and still took the majority of the snaps today.
Where does that even come from? Brady is even the type of guy who I guarantee when he does get interviewed this week, and when asked about his injuries he will just shrug them off with a Belichick line about how “everyone’s a little banged up after 16 games, its football”
The guy doesn’t make excuses. He complains in a game about calls, because thats part of the game. Watch Michael Jordan, Dan Marino, Derek Jeter, or any other athlete who is great. Like it, or not, you’ll look for calls. Its being a competitor.
While we’re at it lets question Wes Welker’s toughness too. I would absolutely love if we could tell how much college, or even high school football any of you guys ever played.

  35. mdel1120 says: Jan 3, 2010 9:48 PM

Of course Brady wasn’t available after th egame- he is a big freaking baby who took his ball and ran home b/c things didn’t go his way. He should have had the class to stay around. BIG BABY!! WAAAHHHHH! Bad things happen, doesn’t mean you run home like a spoiled little brat.

  36. TheWizard says: Jan 3, 2010 9:48 PM

And being as vulgar as possible, that seems to be a tactic of the message board tough guys.

greg- the same goes for the rest of the league hearing about the Pats SB rings. OLD NEWS.

  38. howiseeit says: Jan 3, 2010 10:05 PM

A poor road team that can’t hold a lead in the fourth quarter — that’s what everyone should be focusing on. A broken finger, yes, is a big deal. Or it would be if he hadn’t been playing well over the last month. The ribs too. BB needs to look at his bread and butter…the defense.
Not a fan of BB but the cheat comments are tiresome. Find something new.

  39. patsfanlisa says: Jan 3, 2010 10:10 PM

What a bunch of pansy ass morons. Brady’s been on the injury report all season for a variety of things, and more recently for ribs and finger. But you all think he’s such a pussy, so I guess playing with three cracked ribs and a broken finger is something you all would do on a weekly basis, right?
This guy is tough as nails, and you’re a bunch of idiots. So quick to bring up the cheating card that you don’t even realize that he’s been listed consistently for the injuries.

  41. Terry says: Jan 3, 2010 10:11 PM

Welker, Brady………Anyone else want to complain about playing your starters in the last MEANINGLESS game of the season?????

  42. Xpensive Wino says: Jan 3, 2010 10:12 PM

Why are all these morons on Brady? He didn’t say anything about it. In fact, he avoided the media today to not talk about. How does that make him a crybaby? If he’s really been playing the whole season with busted ribs and a broken finger for awhile, that makes him even tougher than anyone has ever given him credit for.
First ballot Hall-of-Famer. Suck on that!

  43. Hugh says: Jan 3, 2010 11:18 PM
