Cowboys win NFC East, secure rematch with Eagles

For the past year, Eagles fans have been trumpeting the final score of last year’s regular-season finale: 44-6.

For a week, the Cowboys will get to replace that with a new number: 24-0.

They got their via 311 passing yards from quarterback Tony Romo, and 91 yards rushing from Marion Barber and 91 from Felix Jones.

Next weekend, one of the teams will be able to spend the rest of the year with a new rallying cry based on the final score of the game.

By beating the Eagles, the Cowboys won the NFC East, and they’ll host the Eagles in the wild-card round.

It will be the fourth time that the two rivals have gotten together in the postseason. In 1995, the Cowboys beat the Eagles at home, 30-11. Three years earlier, the Cowboys won at home 34-10. In 1980, the Eagles won in Philly, 20-7.

Each time, the home team won -- and the winner ultimately went to the Super Bowl.
