Injuries hit Boldin, Campbell, Rodgers-Cromartie

The Arizona Cardinals took the cautious approach to today’s game against the Green Bay Packers, pulling quarterback Kurt Warner early to preserve him for next weekend’s playoff game.

But even teams that take the cautious approach can have players suffer injuries, and the Cardinals did today: Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin, defensive end Calais Campbell and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie all suffered injuries in the loss to the Packers.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Boldin has a sore ankle and knee but should be OK. Schefter also reports that Campbell fractured his thumb and might need screws put in it.

Rodgers-Cromartie said there’s “no doubt” he’ll play next weekend, even though he at first thought his knee injury was “way worse.”

Is Boldin a free agent after this season? Restricted or Unrestricted? Would love for the Bucs to sign him, if available.

Schefter is also an idiot. There is a schism in Schefter’s head!

Great, so if the Packers beat the Cardinals next week, the losers(Percy Harvin, majik, fan of football, jeff) will be saying how we only won because the Cardinals’ key players were hurt.
Let the excuses start rolling in.

How did all the injuries happen when the Cards didn’t even show up for the game today?

Playing #11 the entire game is *not* being cautious. Why was Fitz still playing when it was garbage time?

Wasn’t Fitzgerald chasing some kind of record? Anyway, so much for protecting guys. Stuff happens, maybe more so when you go easy.

Boldin has one more year on his contract. Even if you have completed the number of years to apply for UFA you must also not be under contract.
