Jim Zorn has “no indication” he’ll be fired

Everyone in America knows that Jim Zorn is about to get fired as head coach of the Washington Redskins.

Everyone, that is, except Zorn himself.

Told after today’s game that there are reports his firing is imminent, Zorn said, “Really?”

Once it was confirmed that, yes -- really -- people think Zorn is about to get canned, Zorn explained that as far as he knows, he’s still the coach of the Redskins and is still supposed to be preparing for the Redskins’ off-season now that the regular season is over.

I had no indication of that, and I would not even comment on that,” Zorn said of talk that he’ll be fired. “There’s a lot of things I’m sure out there as far as stories, there already has been, I get that, but I’m working on our team meeting, I’m working on our off-season schedule. And until I’m told [otherwise], I’m getting ready.”

Expect Zorn to be told otherwise on Monday.
