Raiders, Chiefs closing in on upsets

With the Ravens needing a win to qualify for the postseason and the Broncos needing a win and some help, both teams are in danger of failing to hold up their end of the bargain.

The Chiefs currently lead the Broncos by 10 points late in the third quarter, 27-17. If Denver loses, their 6-0 start will have yielded to a 3-7 2-8 finish, with three straight losses to end the year, just like 2008.

The Raiders have worked their way out of a 14-3 hole, with JaMarcus Russell entering the game in the second half and navigating the offense to a field goal.

If the Raiders and Chiefs win, the Texans will nail down a playoff spot. Then, if the Bengals beat the Jets, the Steelers will join the AFC field.

And the Colts will pee their pants a little.

Or a lot.
