Rams fans hurt in fall from stands

Two fans in St. Louis were hurt after Sunday’s Rams game when they fell from the stands.

The Associated Press reports that an unnamed player tossed a shoe toward the crowd in an effort to give fans a souvenir, and the two fans were injured falling while trying to reach for it.

One fan was carried out of the Edward Jones Dome strapped to a gurney and was taken to a local hospital, but coach Steve Spagnuolo said after the game that he was told the fans were not seriously injured.

It’s not unusual for players to toss equipment into the crowd after games, but after this incident the always cautious league office may ask players to hand — not throw — souvenirs to fans.

I think it is unusual for fans to toss equipment into the stands.

It’s always gonna be a bad season when it finishes up with 10% of the paying crowd falling from the stands trying to catch a shoe.

I can’t believe they had two fans that would want a souvenir

I don’t think there was a shoe involved—this incident was a double attempted suicide by two Rams fans who suddenly realized how horrible their team was.
Can we talk about Michael David Smith’s writing ability? Just terrible.

Why would fans toss equipment into the stands after a game? Is that a typo?

As if it didn’t suck enough already to be a Rams fan.

I disagree….I think it is VERY “unusual for FANS to toss equipment into the crowd after games.”
However, it’s not unusual for PLAYERS to toss equipment into the crowd after games. Ass Clown.

I love the single sentence-paragraph style. It makes you thing you’re getting whole paragraphs of content. Really. Then again, with the quality of PFT readers, maybe it’s necessary.

Let us, like Him, hold up one shoe and let the other be upon our foot, for this is His sign, that all who follow Him shall do likewise.
    Or, follow the Gourd.

The shoe smelled better than their season. And probably was more attractive than the female fans.
