Jeanty doubtful to return for Bengals

The Bengals defense will have to play one starter short Saturday.

On the opening kickoff, starting linebacker Rashad Jeanty suffered a sprained left knee and an ankle injury to boot. His return is doubtful.

Jeanty was a replacement for Rey Maualuga, who is out for the season.  Brandon Johnson, a capable replacement, is in for Jeanty.

We’ve got a scoreless tie midway through the first quarter after Laveranues Coles fumbled away a scoring opportunity for the Bengals.

Man, I’d LOVE to see a classic Florio article about how Joe Gibbs is a TERRIBLE announcer. Too bad he sold out to NBC and won’t do it….

Probably see rookie Michael Johnson playing more LB, too.
Damnit – Jeanty is one of those blue-collar, unsung-hero types that every defense loves to have.
