Palmer will undergo surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left thumb, he confirmed after Saturday’s loss.
The injury originally happened in October and forced Palmer to hand off with his right hand all season. Palmer’s accuracy was shaky all year, but that was the case even before the injury.
New speed at wide receiver would help Palmer out next year even more than a healthy thumb.

Man Carson has fallen fast, before his knee injury he was on the verge of being considered an elite quarterback.
Granted the jets have the #1 defense in the league but this goes beyond just todays game. You have to wonder if its the player, the coaching or both. It does seem like they are afraid to just let him loose at times.
Who knows, maybe the Jets will be dangerous… they remind of the Ravens when they won the SB with Dilfer.

Carson is a very average QB on a good team. Benson was a machine out there and the Bengals D is pretty good. This loss falls all on the Carson chokejob Palmer.

The only reason our offense was “successful” in 05 was because of all the turnovers that were handed to them. I can remember when it hit me that our offense was not as great as I thought. Green Bay in 05. We had a +5 turnover ratio, and barely won the game 21-14. The offense in that game looked identical to what we have today. —————> FIRE BRAT!!!!!

new offensive coordinator – Bengals fans have been calling for this, oh, for about five years. Might want to stop using high draft picks for guys that can’t get on the field. OC’s look better when draft picks can actually play.
figure out what’s wrong with Carson – he’s not that good? May want to look to the future at QB.
draft a wide receiver that can stretch the field – Jerome Simpson won’t be using his locker so go ahead and re-draft that position again.
get a real left guard – and how about lowering a league leading amount of offensive penalties. Pathetic amount of calls against the O-line especially at the end of the season.
and so on…yes, like not wasting a draft pick on a tight end that can’t pick up the playbook or block, but that would require a better scouting department which Mikey-boy won’t pay for ever. Just coach up the Senior Bowl again, his go-to scouting move.

First of all. We take the opening kickoff back and fubmle on the jets 20. Then Shayne Graham misses 2 field goals that are basically extra points. Im sorry to say but a game where your down by 4 is a little different than being down 10. Different defenses are called as well as offensiive plays. The bengals havbe been winning in the 4th quarter all year. Shayne makes those kicks Bengals would win.
To all the bengal fans saying “we played one more week than the steelers” and “we beat the steelers twice” …..let me clue you in on something….in the NFL there are 2 types of teams …..ones that win the super bowl and ones that don’t…..the steelers and bengals are exactly the same this year….winning the division so you can give away a home playoff game means nothing……

Did you watch them in Dec? they sucked every game and it carried into this game. After Baltimore loses today, the AFC north wil be back to normal. The sad part is, i rooted for Baltimore when they one their last SB, and would have rooted for Cincy this year.
