Boo birds soar in New England

With the Pats trailing by 14 early and another drive fizzling and a punt return by Chris Carr of the Ravens finishing in Baltimore territory, we heard a strange sound over the rabbit-eared Zenith at the Motel 6 in Midtown Manhattan.

Booing.

Loud booing.

Actually, very loud booing.

It’s rare for the Patriots to face that reaction at home, primarily since they rarely do anything at home to prompt such feedback. They haven’t lost in Gillette Stadium all year, and they haven’t dropped a home playoff game in more than 31 years.
