Cardinals pull it off in overtime

In a game characterized by horrible defensive play, it was fitting that the Arizona Cardinals beat the Green Bay Packers in overtime with a fumble that was returned for a game-winning touchdown.

Defensive back Michael Adams blitzed Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, knocking the ball out of Rodgers’ hand. The ball then caromed off Rodgers’ foot and landed in the breadbasket of Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby, who sprinted 17 yards for the win.

Initially, we thought that the replay booth might call for a review, but it was clear that Rodgers wasn’t trying to throw the ball.

So the Cardinals, after scoring 51 points to advance to the divisional round, head to New Orleans on Saturday to face a team that flirted a few times with 50 but never managed to break the half-century mark.

Hell, the game was so exciting that I don’t care that we went 0-4 this weekend in our playoff picks.

Especially since Rosenthal picked them all.
