Dolphins interview Groh for defensive coordinator job

In the wake of the surprise termination of Paul Pasqualoni, the Dolphins have wasted no time in lining up a successor.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the team met on Wednesday with former New York Jets coach Al Groh.

Groh was fired by the University of Virginia after the 2009 season, and he has a long history with Dolphins V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells.

    Why would parcells want to hire al groh after he pulled a bobby petrino on him when he was head coach of the jets for a year and went back to college?

    The “Rooney Rule” only applies to head coaching and senior football operations positions, not coordinators or the rest of the staff.

    I think you mean FORMER New York Jets coach?

    Actually both Parcells and Groh left the Jets together. It was Belichick who pulled a shady, as he was supposed to take over in NY, not Groh.
