Anquan Boldin started the week with optimistic words, but his actions tell another story.
For the third straight day, Boldin and linebacker Gerald Hayes missed practice. Like Boldin, Hayes is struggling with an ankle injury.
Thursday marked the last complete practice of the week. Both players are “game-time decisions” but the team’s website admits their lack of practice time does not bode well for their availability. Steve Breaston and Monty Beisel would start in their place.
Six Cardinals were limited in practice: Calais Campbell (thumb), Will Davis (knee), Ben Graham (left groin), Dominique Rodgers-Crommartie (toe, knee), and Bryant McFadden (chest). Two Cardinals were listed on the injury report, but practiced completely: Neil Rackers (right groin) and Antrel Rolle (thigh). (Or at least Mike Silver overheard Rolle practiced.)
The Saints are healthier. Rodney Leisle (knee) was an addition to the injury report Thursday after not practicing. Lance Moore (ankle) and Malcolm Jenkins (ankle) were limited. Pierre Thomas (ribs) and Bobby McCray (back) were full participants.
