Perry Fewell is a terrific hire by Tom Coughlin. Fewell is the right man to get the best out that talented defensive line of the New York Giants. Players will respect him because they know he will put them in position to make plays unlike Fewell’s predecessor Bill Sheridan.
The Buffalo Bills improved under Perry Fewell’s leadership and that speaks volumes about his coaching ability in my mind.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Fewell was a defensive back coordinator under Coughlin in Jacksonville. So I’m sure he didn’t need a “recommendation” form Jauron if he had already previously worked for Coughlin.

All I know is he got the Bills to play hard when he was interim hc. That’s gonna be a major improvement.
Always thought Leslie Frazier would’ve worked.

What a complete and embarassing disaster the Bears are. They can’t even find anybody willing to come coordinate Lovie’s offense/defense because they know it’s a losing proposition to jump aboard a sinking ship for one year.
This is just NOT the way you operate an NFL franchise – leaving a stupid head coach in place, firing all the offensive staff, meanwhile the former defensive coordinator and Lovie’s BFF is still on staff (Babitch), etc.
The Bears are a joke and a pathetically run franchise. How much different could this team look right now, how much more promising the prospects for 2010, if they had jettisoned Lovie and/or Angeblow and brought in someone like Cowher and his crew. An up and coming guy like Jeremy Bates would’ve jumped at the opportunity to be the O-coordinator on a staff like that.
I feel for Cutler because he gets to spend yet another year in some podunk rinky dink offensive system run by clueless dopes who probably know less about offense and how to attack a defense than he does.
