People’s Champ:
Ravens and Fins…that sounds as good as any team. They seem to be 2 teams that could get over the hump with a stud WR. I don’t see any first round WR being as productive as Boldin, even if it’s only for another 5 years or so.

The Eagles are not trading McNabb. Period. They’re good at WR. Jackson is the deep threat, Maclin is his compliment, and Avant is a possession receiver. They don’t need to overpay Boldin so he can watch half of the games from the sidelines. Plus the Eagles would be retarded to trade arguably their best QB in franchise history and turn it over to that interception machine Kevin Kolb. He hasn’t proven anything in this league. Boldin might be traded to Baltimore since Mason is probably retiring

I think the Eagles are content with the group of WRs (Jackson, Macklin, Avant) they have now. I think it is more likely the Eagles take an early 2nd round pick for McNabb from a team that needs a QB (Rams, Browns, Bills, Raiders, etc.).

I am thinking a Boldin for McNabb scenario if Warner retires. Add a possesion reciever to the mix of young speedster and the Eagles core wr would rival any. Cards would not miss a beat replacing Warner with McNabb. They may also now may be able to get 3rd for Leinart.

Baltimore should try to negotiate a trade for him. After what we saw yesterday it is clear Flacco needs some more weapons. Their RB Ray Rice was their leading reciever this year!! That says it all. And their only reasonable WR (Mason) was on the brink of retirement last year. Who knows if he will be back next year…

I believe the Cardinals should try to re-negotiate a long term deal with Boldin. The guy is a stud when he is healthy. He does get injured more than other receivers due to the fact he so many hits over the middle. This would leave the entire draft for defensive replacements and depth. I would also recommend a new defensive coordinator. I have to believe that is the biggest problem, they have many talented players on that defense between Dockett, Wilson, Rolle, Dansby, Berry, and Rodgers-Cromartie.

Now why would either team do that?
The Eagles have two young up and comers at WR (Maclin and Jackson) and now they’re going to bring in Boldin and pay him some obscene amount of money? Umm….no.
Oh, yeah, and the Cardinals have some guy named Warner that plays QB for them…and even if he happens to retire, they’ll see what they have with Leinert before they trade for McNabb.
Other than that, brilliant idea!!!

Have you ever seen american football, or are you just looking through a bunch of random crap online about different positions, and noticing a trend that cleveland has 2 QBs that are fighting for the starting spot?
Whatever “it” is that leinart doesnt have, quinn and anderson haven’t even heard of. my guess is that cleveland would gladly trade brady, anderson, rogers, and any 3 players of arizona’s choosing for leinhart by himself, let alone with boldin.
btw, I’m not a cards fan or a browns hater, but why in the hell would any team want to bring either of the absolute trainwrecks calling themselves QB’s from cleveland to their team (in addition to the staph)?

Yeah because Doucet and Breaston sure helped their offense today, what with all those big plays and all. Besides Hightower’s opening game run and the few plays after Shanle’s “roughing the passer/pat on the head”, their offense didn’t do anything. And part of that were the receivers not getting open at all.
Of course, part of that is due to the most underrated CB tandem in the NFL, Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter.

Anquan Boldin is playing it smart and listening to his current agent Tom Condon. Don’t negotiate thru the media. Let the agent do what he’s paid to do. If Cardinals managment is smart (there not) they move Boldin to a Wr needy team such as the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Balitimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Trade the man so that he can move on to the next chapter in his career.

Why? Arizona has wells and hightower. hightower has alot more to offer than just a 3rd down back. NY has good group of WR, Hicks already fills the role boldin will come in a play.

No way the Giants are going to dump Jacobs. They put the franchise tag on him just to make sure they got a long term deal done. Boldin will get the contract money that he wants in the middle of his last year and still be with the Cards.

After the first few seasons I gave Boldin the benefit of the doubt regarding his injuries – maybe it was just bad luck. This guy is definitely injury prone. If they trade him, the team that gets him has to know that he won’t make it 16 games.
