Dvoracek busted in Oklahoma

Bears defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek, who landed on injured reserve in each of his four NFL season, has now landed in the hoosegow.

Dvoracek was busted Friday in Norman, Oklahoma after a fight at the Seven47 bar, per OKBlitz.com.

He was charged with public intoxication, assault and battery, and interfering with an official process.

Dvoracek landed on IR in August 2009 after tearing an ACL.  Though he was listed as one of the restricted free agents whose rights the Bears will hold, he does not currently appear on the team’s roster.

  1. Word is that someone called him Hacksaw Jim Duggan and he didn’t take it too kindly. He stated to police that he was just looking for the other half of his beer bottle when they showed up.

  2. He was a bust way before he got busted.
    Nice 2nd round pick Jerry.
Remind me again why the Bears O line was neglected for so many years while you drafted a bunch of D linemen with a history of leg injuries?

  3. good call Philtration.
Holy God I just looked at the Bears 1st round picks since 1990. You guys ready for this?
Stan Thomas, Alonzo Spellman, Curtis Conway, John Thierry, Rashaan Saalam, Walt Harris, Curtis Enis, Cade Mcnown, Brian Urlacher, David Terrel, Marc Colombo, Rex Grossman, Tommie Harris, Ced Benson, Greg Olson and Chris Williams.
WOW. One guy there that has been a good player? I guess Conway was ok, for other teams, same as Colombo, but that is an ugly, ugly list.
Meanwhile, I glance at the Colts and they have 3 sure fire hall of famers, and 4 other pro bowlers on their list. I guess we know how good teams are built.

  4. I guess the redshirt year for alcoholism did not fix him. If this POS ending up on IR every year is not proof of kharma, I don’t know what is.

  5. The gut is decent WHEN he is on the field. Bad decisions will get you cut. I was hoping for him to bounce back next year and actually contribute. Oh well

  6. You are right pudgalvin and it is not just the 1st rounders who sucked.
Angelo has picked a ton of failures with his 2nd round picks as well.
He drafts players with knee injuries because he believes that he is getting a steal.
There is a reason why the other teams lets these players fall in the draft but only Jerry Angelo see the diamond in the rough.
That is a lot of potential starters and difference makers that never worked out for them and that is why he keeps trading down in every draft.
He is afraid to make a 1st or 2nd round pick because the fans will expect results from them.
    What a coward.

  7. Hate to rain on the parade of Angelo hate, considering I don’t like the guy myself, but before you call a guy out you should at least have the facts straight. Dusty was a 3rd round pick. Opps.

  8. “Stan Thomas, Alonzo Spellman, Curtis Conway, John Thierry, Rashaan Saalam, Walt Harris, Curtis Enis, Cade Mcnown, Brian Urlacher, David Terrel, Marc Colombo, Rex Grossman, Tommie Harris, Ced Benson, Greg Olson and Chris Williams.”
Wait. Ced Benson is beasting it up in Cinci..? Walt Harris has had a solid career. Greg Olson you’ve given up on already? Not to mention, 60 receptions for 600 yards and a TD isn’t that bad..

  9. Spellman showed some promise for awhile getting 23.5 sacks the 3 years he started for the Bears. Harris & Conway had descent careers. Harris has dropped but was one of the best at his position a few years ago. Olson has gotten better every year and had 60 catches and 8 TD’s this year. Benson and Columbo rejuvenated their careers once they left Chicago. Williams is still to early to tell and Urlacher, we all know what he has done. The rest, not so good. As bad as Grossman turned out it’s hard to believe we drafted another QB in the first round that was worse then Rex

  10. He got busted when he played for OU for beating the shit out of his “best friend” and sending him to the hospital

  11. He’ll end up on the Bengals and play all year next year…another terrible pick by Angelo. Way to go doucher
