Vikings moving Winfield back outside at times on Sunday

Lost in the buildup to the Cowboys-Vikings game on Sunday is the fact that, when the Vikings last played in Week 17, cornerback Antoine Winfield was relegated to a supporting role, due to a lingering foot problem.

Per the Associated Press, Winfield will move back to the outside for portions of Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.

Against the Giants in the regular-season finale, Winfield handled the slot receiver in nickel packages only, and Benny Sapp handled the outside receiver on one side, with Cedric Griffin covering the outside man on the other side.

lol….and the same fair weather cowboy fans will disappear after they lose tomorrow. Da’ Boys may have had a good December and are the sexy pick but this really isn’t a good matchup for the cowboys……..vikes 28 boys 17

Cowboys D has not faced a balanced run/pass offense since they played GB and we know how that worked out for them.
The Cowboys did beat the ‘skin 7-6 so I can see why their such a “sexy” pick

They made a myspace and Dallas fans have invaded the place.
So much for the old thought that Packer fans were obnoxious.
These Dallas fans take the cake.

Dallas sells out every stadium they play in…and have for decades. Sure, every team has the band wagon jumpers but America’s Team has been the big draw since the early 70’s. And that’s for one reason — they have the best fans. Suck ’em!

They said we had no chance of beating the Saints, we did, they said we would not beat philly the first or second time, we did………….So it continues. And buy the way after we won those games all of a sudden they were not big games, but if we would have lost them then you would be saying Romo can’t win big games. And by the way I have been a cowboys fan since their last superbowl when I first started to watch football and I have remained a fan. WIN, LOOSE, OR TIE, I AM A COWBOYS FAN UNTIL I DIE.

What an obnoxious comment. Typical of a Cowboys to think an away game is sold out because of them. Cowboys fans went from bordering on non existent on these boards to absolutely friken everywhere after one playoff win.
    Yah great fans.

Obnoxious, yes. Ridiculous? Usually, but in this case there may actually be some truth to that. We all know the history of (not) selling playoff tickets in Minnesota.
That being said, I am reversing my original prediction and picking the Vikings to win this game. The Dallas defense has looked strong against one-dimensional teams, but not against more balanced offenses. I expect Peterson to run wild.
I really do wish there was a way BOTH teams could lose. Alas, we’re stuck with one set of loudmouthed, arrogant fans for another week at least. All we can do is hope they’re the ones with some actual football knowledge instead of the recent Dallas bandwagon jumpers.
