Brad Childress: It’s Cowboys’ job to stop us from scoring

When told that Dallas Cowboys linebacker Keith Brooking called the Vikings’ final touchdown classless, Minnesota coach Brad Childress was unsympathetic.

“As Lou Holtz used to say, ‘It’s our job to score points and it’s their job to stop us from scoring points,’” Childress said.

Childress was backed up by Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, who said he takes issue with Brooking’s suggestion that he did something unsportsmanlike by throwing a touchdown pass when the game was already in hand.

“Anybody that knows me knows I’m not about that,” Favre said.

Apparently Brooking doesn’t know Favre, because Brooking tried to confront Favre on the field and ripped the Vikings’ final touchdown in the locker room afterward. We have a feeling he’ll have more to say this week.
