Report: Frazier told Seahawks he'd bring Dungy

On Saturday, Charley Casserly of CBS reported that former Bucs and Colts coach Tony Dungy would have hired Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier to coach the Seahawks, if Dungy had accepted Seattle’s offer to become president of the team.

On Sunday, Jay Glazer of FOX reported that Frazier was telling Seahawks CEO Tod Leiweke during last weekend’s interview that Frazier could get Dungy to come with him to Seattle.

In the end, Dungy opted not to join the Seahawks and the Seahawks opted not to hire Frazier.

Moving forward, however, it makes sense to keep a close eye on the possibility for a Dungy-Frazier team in some other NFL city.

    Frazier should’ve tried to sell himself to the Seahawks and not try to sell the relationship he has w/ Dungy.

    Another Dumb non-story.. do you people not get it?? Dungy is DONE COACHING… hello McFly.. anyone home? The dude didn’t leave Peyton Manning and the Colts to go Coach the Seahawks..didn’t leave so he could coach with a “black man” umm duh.. Jim Caldwell was on his staff .. wasn’t like he never coached with blacks before.. but I’m sure you people will still put his name in there again… especially if maybe Webster or Steve Urkel need a Coach…

    In the long run the Seahawks will be better off the way it’s set up now.

    @Rock56
    FYI – The “coming out” for Dungy was reported to be as President of Football OPS or GM, not as a coach………..Just seen the live report on FOX.

    err….MF called it correctly above, the report was for Frazier to be able to bring Dungy to Seattle as President with Leslie as HC.

    how is this racism allowed… If Mike Holmgren said”Hire me and I’ll bring along Mike Martz as head coach”,Whiny minorites wouldve had a field day with this. It seems,as is the case with “real jobs”also, it’s no longer who is best or most qualified;it’s about are they black/muslim/hispanic,etc..
