Ran up the score? That’s the most ridiculous thing ever. I understand what people mean by it, but how can you coach a championship team to let off the gas just because your team is up by a large margin? If I were coaching I would say play your heart out for 60 minutes of football. If the Vikes pulled Favre and some other starters, that’s fine. Then the second string can play their heart out for the remainder. But take your foot off the gas? No way. I would bench players that let that mentality get into their heads.

You can’t win in these situations. Had the Vikings taken their proverbial foot off the gas, then Cowboys would be saying the Vikings disrespected them by letting up and everybody would be criticizing them for not trying hard. If game outcome was already determined then why not just call the game with 5 minutes to go? Sounds stupid, huh? No matter the score, you should play as hard near the end of the game as you would at the start.

This is stupid. Dallas threw a pass in the last two minutes in the Eagles last seasons game. Dallas was on the 20 or 3o yard line. They were winning 24-0. No one is talking about that! This guy is a sore loser along with his team mates!

It is just amazing how we spent so much time over a guy who is upset because a professional team scored a TD against him. My thoughts…Brookings can’t have it both ways…..score all they can against the Eagles but get pissed when another team is basically running their offense.

Anyone here who thinks that either the Saints or the Vikings are going to crush the other is fooling themselves. I expect to see two evenly matched teams playing on Sunday, with the winner likely being the one who has the ball at the end of the game.

OK -
So Brookings pushes on his opponents neck for at least five seconds after the play is dead.
Brookings does the “Dirty Bird” in ’98 to taunt the fans of the team he just beat.
The Cowboys delay their entrance to the field until their opponent is honoring a former player.
The Cowboys do THE EXACT SAME THING WITH THE EXACT SAME SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES (except they fail) the week prior but complain when it was done to them.
And it’s the Vikings that lack class??
The Cowboys continued to treat the game like wasn’t over (calling timeouts, going for it on 4th down) which wass their perogative, but to complain when their opponent treats the game the same way is pathetic.
