Bears to charter plane for Adams' funeral

The funeral for Gaines Adams has been scheduled for 1PM Friday in Easley, South Carolina.

The Bears organization will charter a plane down including G.M. Jerry Angelo, coach Lovie Smith, and Bears players.  Look for the Bucs, Adams’ first organization, to be well represented as well.

Adams died suddenly Sunday after suffering cardiac arrest caused by an enlarged heart.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to: Specialized Foster Homes Services, 1201 East Cambridge Avenue, Greenwood, SC, 29646. Cards and letters may be sent to Linda and Gaines Adams Sr., 720 Montague Avenue, Greenwood, SC, 29649.

Things like this make you think you might have it bad but at least your not dead. Not tryin to be rude but just sayin. This dude was on top of the world. 4th pick in the draft. Top physical condition at 26 years of age. As they say a good guy and he comes up dead. It sucks. things like this shouldn’t happen to a person like Gaines. But it sucks. Bad things happen(earthquakes). Its just the way it goes. Just tryin find the good things in bad situations.
