Yes, he went to bowl games… But do recruits want to hear about your trip to the Silicon Valley Classic or the fact you made the Humanitarian Bowl – TWICE?
The FACTS are he finished 3rd or lower five of his six years there. He was .500 in conference four times in six years… Again, this gets you a job only 31 other guys have?
He couldn’t do much worse than the previous coach did.
there are Skins fans out there who don’t like Shanny going in, because they think their owner can only do wrong. it’s a lose lose situation. Seems like Bill Cowher was the only choice teh fans would hands down approve of. I am sure there would have been some haters too.

Mike, do you just love to bash the Bills? Below is a comment from one of your earlier posts about how Brian Billick has openly stated that the Bills did not even contact him. But yet you still talk about how these “top name coaches” didn’t want the job or hung up the phone on the offer (you specifically mention Billick) …
