With Panthers receivers coach Richard Williamson, a member of the team’s original staff in 1995, retiring earlier this month, the team has found a replacement.
Tyke Tolbert is the new receivers coach, the team announced today.
Tolbert has spent the last six seasons with the Bills. Prior to that, Tolbert spent a year with the Cardinals. He previously worked at the college level.
“Tyke’s experience both as a player and coach provide him with a sound knowledge of the wide receiver position,” head coach John Fox said. “He is a highly regarded coach and we think he will make strong contribution to our offense.”
Tolbert played college football at LSU from 1988 through 1990.

Bring on Charlie Weis instead!
ANOTHER Bills coach scooped up !!!
Good luck to Tolbert. He’s got a long, storied history of failing to develop USC WRs to live up to.
I hope he doesn’t clash with Steve Smith who’s only known one way of doing things his whole pro career.
Go Panthers!
